try ask harvey norman what different their extended warranty compare with applecare
*
The main difference is with applecare, you still can send back to Apple anywhere worldwide. With harvey norman's you have to send back to Malaysia's harvey norman for the second and third year.
This only applies to Mac, not iPhone or iPad.

Seriously does Harvey Norman repairs MacBook? If not it means that they will just replace a new MacBook (latest version) if there is problem with your laptop after first year?

Well, if you compare it that way, of course you gonna say the 13inch mbp is bulky.

But i still think the sweet spot is now the 13inch mbp when you factor in the weight and performance.

i will go for portability rather than performance becoz my task usually a normal productivity. That why 13 rmbp and 12 rmb have a different group of user

Yeah i agree and i've been tempted to get the 12inch in the past but i cant convince myself to pay that much for just normal day productivity.
*
Yeap a tough decision to decide whether rmb or rmbp. But i ended with rmb, feel great and love it so much

Actually given the spec. look, portability, it is not really overpriced. The new macbook retina 12-inch is also quite reasonably powerful for most tasks.

Costing the same as a rMBP 13" is overpriced for stripped down specs + less raw materials due to smaller footprint. Charging more due to R&D doesn't really cut it since some of the R&D is spread out to all models. And there is nothing ground breaking which is solely exclusive in the rMB either.
The high price is mainly due to the luxury branding & aesthetics.

Smaller = Cheaper?

Perhaps if you're buying fruit. Doesn't work that way when it comes to electronics.

Whether a product is overpriced or not, it is very subjective. It all depends on the users' satisfaction.
To you portability might not be relevant, but to others who need to travel here and there, it makes difference.
Overall apple products are all overpriced based on your point.

That's nothing prefect and RM very weak now. For me everyday portability with 12". If performance may go to 15"

I was comparing the cost of hardware/materials, not the cost of a person's perception of value. Hence why i mentioned the high price is due to branding and aesthetics.

Based on your flow of thought, no Apple products is not overpriced...
In some aspect, you are right.
Ans usually people who have the same thought as yours will choose non-Apple products, e.g. Acer, Asus, Lenovo etc.
