One time I had a bounce back payment due to the outstanding balance lesser than the schedule payment. I only realize two days later. No late charge for that. So I guess still have grace period for late charge

Maybank do not allow credit card payment more than existing balance. The schedule payment will fail if the payment amount more than curent balance.

Example, as of 14 Apr, current statement balance is RM1000. The balance will become less after RM50 cash back on 30 Apr and become RM950 if no swipe the card from 14 Apr onward.The schedule payment on 01 May with RM1000 will fail as the current balance RM950 is less than the schedule payment of RM1000.

my case even wore... i schdule maybank saving account pay more than my Amex statement balance also was rejected..

1 weeks later saw kena finance charge and call cs to waive it..

the reason they gave me is i must only can pay the exact amount...

CVV at front?  u mean the 4 digit number in WHITE?  not the 3 digit number at back??

My experience yesterday :

purchase at Blizzard store, reject twice

call the toll free number at page #1, immediate answer.  Give card number, name & phone number. he ask few questions : like where u shopped ur grocery recently, or where u pump petrol

after few mins wait, say onblocked but need to perform transaction after 15 mins.

wait 15 mins, checkout again, success.  using 3 digit number at back of card as CVV.

ooo, this is first time I get this info that actually is the 3 digit at the back of the AMEX card to be used as CVV instead of front 4 digit. I will try it on my next online AMEX transaction.

damn, my transaction on Blizzard, did it on Saturday 2am (16 May), but in m2u transaction date is 15th May.  means no rebate........

most of my US purchases follow their local time which is why I always make sure it happens evening of Saturday.

just wondering ... last time, we calculated Amex's 5X TreatsPoints to be 2% equivalent-cashback (assuming converting to RM50 service tax).

since GST @ 1st April, there's no more RM50 service tax, and TP inflation @ 1st May.

question is: what is the lowest/practical item for over-the-counter (OTC) redemption?

TreatsPoints PDF catalogue already inclusive postage amount. Most RM50 gift cards are now require 23,040 TPs. But how about OTC redemption? how much TPs needed?

should be 20k tp for rm50 equivalent vouchers/gift cards.

But you can only pump at Petronas unless you're a huge supporter of Petronas. 8x TP on weekends for petrol and groceries (8x/5x TP depending on which Petronas CC). 5x TP on weekdays for petrol.

Better get the Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan: 5% CB on Fridays and Saturdays for petrol (no TP) and groceries (1x TP).
