Money is always an issue, but in order for it to be feasible for Mazda Malaysia to make it a value-added option for us owners, it has to be post-car-purchase order-based add-ons, like the MZD GPS SD card, body kit or tint, as order quantity is low. If there is demand, Mazda Malaysia can order from Mazda Japan as spare parts and install it locally in SC. So, even if there is no demand, Mazda Malaysia won't make a loss as they don't keep stock. If the owners want it, they will install it eventually, nothing can beat original design and parts, unless the car is badly designed and has design defects in the first place.
However, these additional options might not increase the 2nd hand value of a car since 2nd hand car dealers will always try to buy low sell high.

There are 3rd party cruise control available. But if get from Mazda, it is sort of plug-and-play and it gives peace of mind, since there are high spec Mazda 2 with cruise control available for JDM and European market.Think of this as, Proton Wira change engine to use Mitsubishi Evo I, II, III's 4G63T. Same engine mounting position, plug-and-play, with some minor replacement/modifications.
