The real question is at what price... sad.gif
*
Money is always an issue, but in order for it to be feasible for Mazda Malaysia to make it a value-added option for us owners, it has to be post-car-purchase order-based add-ons, like the MZD GPS SD card, body kit or tint, as order quantity is low. If there is demand, Mazda Malaysia can order from Mazda Japan as spare parts and install it locally in SC. So, even if there is no demand, Mazda Malaysia won't make a loss as they don't keep stock.

If the owners want it, they will install it eventually, nothing can beat original design and parts, unless the car is badly designed and has design defects in the first place.

However, these additional options might not increase the 2nd hand value of a car since 2nd hand car dealers will always try to buy low sell high.

QUOTE(kangarooo @ Apr 20 2015, 10:52 AM)
one question... cruise control can additional install? i thought must be build inside the system?
*
There are 3rd party cruise control available. But if get from Mazda, it is sort of plug-and-play and it gives peace of mind, since there are high spec Mazda 2 with cruise control available for JDM and European market.

Think of this as, Proton Wira change engine to use Mitsubishi Evo I, II, III's 4G63T. Same engine mounting position, plug-and-play, with some minor replacement/modifications.

Question that in my head:
What equipment that it will come? same spec as the testing unit?
How about the price? higher or about the same?
somehow i feel the sedan will not come in the D spec. this is just my feeling.

If 1.5 turbo den my opinion stands. It should be neck to neck with Fiesta ST as hot hatch category. Else doesn't make any sense having a 250NM torque for RM90k car. Other RM90k no need to sell and can close shop liao. laugh.gif

Other shops must innovate to stay competitive lor. Most probably they will bring in their diesel variant in to ride the wave if diesel getting popular here, unless they got no confidence it will work here. Like Honda Grace (a.k.a. City Hybrid), most probably the plan to introduce hybrid power with dual-clutch transmission is scrapped, they can't solve it in their own JDM with so many recalls.

I find zero results when looking for 2015 M2 Aluminium Metallic in google. So I put this here

Wanna promote this colour, it's a very nice colour. Although they keep pushing red, white and even dark grey.
It still sporty look, it show curve and lines as great as the red one. But of course it's low profile color.
It's easier and cheaper to maintain, it's also not as hot as dark grey in the hot sun.
The aluminium metallic is unique and not be found in T/H car.

yes but u need to understand that the difference cannot be too drastic and pricing of each categories are strictly controlled in order to maintain the existence of Proton. Other shops have their own innovations in other countries that have total freedom to trade their products. That's why common cars being sold in Malaysia are all stripped down.

Anyway, these are the cars waiting for Mazda 2 Skyactiv-D here:

diesel engine is different with petrol engine, Skyactiv-D yes it has 250NM but only 105PS, compare with those hot hatch category which fiesta ST that come with 182PS and 240NM, so Mazda 2 diesel definitely not under hot hatch category.

I am getting Mazda 2 SDN Aluminum Metallic, common colour on Malaysian roads.

They cannot sell it below Proton's price, but they can sell it as post-purchase add-ons like the RM1,270.00 GPS option they are selling right? brows.gif

Those interested can buy, those who don't want, can opt out. Mazda getting it from Japan using case-by-case demand, so Mazda Malaysia won't lose money, even if no one wants it no?

Besides, the car already cost RM88k.

I dunno la... personally I feel the darkness is more or less the same but the shine on the Mazda 1 is different. Kind of like the soul red but greyish silver. The Toyota 1 is just grey metalic. laugh.gif

Just found out something. Not sure how to verify but:

Mazda 2 skyactiv-g 1.5 0-100km/h - 10.1s
Mazda 2 skyactiv-d 1.5tebu 0-100km/h - 9.5s hmm.gif

It's even slower than Swift Sport. hmm.gif
