Any recommended SC?

I know Sg Besi is good, but macam jauh. I live in Kota Damansara.

I have went to Bangi before, ntg to shout about. Good thing about them is they dont have that many customers so easy to walk in, I just dislike one of their technician - he wants to BS to old uncle boleh la, dont BS to customers that knows about car..

So... any recommended SC within PJ?

1. When I sent my car for 10k/6 months service interval, the SA told me that it is recommended to service the tires at 10k mileage. I declined to do it that time because my mileage at that time was only 8.7k.

Now I'm reaching 10k mileage, please someone enlighten me what do I need to do regarding the tires? Balancing, alignment, what else? Also, how much will this cost me?

2. For those who have renewed their insurance, how much did that cost you?

I just went to Mazda Bangi for tire balancing/rotation. Really bad workmanship. The technician didn't fix the steering alignment, now the steering is not straight when the tire is straight. Cant be bothered to go there anymore, really not recommending them. I didnt notice the steering when going out from the SC because the area is full of pothole. I only noticed it when I was on the highway.

Any SC opens on Sunday? lucifal, is your place open on Sunday? Right now it's really annoying to drive with the steering not straight...

Yes, Berjaya offer me 75k but actual market price is around RM50k. Other insurance company would not give even 60k.

Your car is 1 year?

Anyway, is it a MUST to renew with Berjaya? Can I renew my insurance with other company, I prefer takaful scheme instead of straight insurance..

Hi everyone,

I'm been driving a 2015 Mazda 2 Auto for the last 1 year. Lately, occasionally, I heard rattling noise from the engine during acceleration. Does anyone here experience similar issue?

The rattling noise sounds like an old teksi engine.

I'm driving same make as yours, never had this.

What is your mileage btw?

After almost two years of Mazda 2 Sedan ownership, it is disappointing to point out that there is a fundamental design problem which Mazda Japan nor Bermaz is not able to come out with a permanent fix to it, yet. This problem is present in many Mazda 2 Skyactiv DJ (2015-present) and Mazda 2 DE (previous generation).

After a few months of usage, the intermediate shaft/steering system/front suspension will have:
(1) abrasive and heavy feel (like sanding) when turning the steering from end-to-end (all the time),
(2) "knocking" feeling and sound when the steering wheel is wiggled left and right continuously (all the time),
(3) "tak" sound when turning back the steering from extreme ends while vehicle is stationary (intermittently),
(4) while turning back after taking left/right corners in in low speed junction and mid speed bend (intermittently),
(5) the steering can feel the harsh impacts of driving over uneven roads, as if the whole steering/suspension system can dislodge itself anytime (all the time).

These problems exist in many Mazda 2 Skyactiv (DJ), as well as Mazda 2 DE (previous generation). Bermaz directed all affected car owners to visit and inform their respective service centres regarding these issues, and the SC will do the following:
(1) apply special grease to intermediate shaft (reduce the "knocking" feeling but symptoms will return after a week or two),
(2) replace intermediate shaft/damper top mounting (steering felt like a new car after replacement and no more symptoms for a while, but the problem will return to haunt you again after a month or so).

These problems had affected a number of cars (at least 50+ Mazda 2 Skyactiv car owners had spoken out about these problem in a Mazda 2 owners club in Facebook). I had correspond to Bermaz by email to highlight these issues and seeking a permanent fix, but until now, no further action taken apart from changing the intermediate shaft/damper top mounting, and I am unsure whether Bermaz have notify Mazda Japan about these issues for further studies/corrective action to be taken.

Is this the same issue found in Mazda3? I remember read in M3 thread they encounter some 'knocking' when turning steering... Or is that diff issue?

How to install

1. Prepare a USB Thumbdrive. Format it as Fat32
2. Download https://github.com/gartnera/headunit/releases , the release 0.93A
3. Unzip it , put in the thumb drive
4. Bring it over to your CX-5
5. Plug it in , and wait for 2-3 minutes
6. A pop-up appears , press update
7. Let it update and reboot
8. once it has rebooted  you would see Android Auto
9. Download the Android Auto app from play store . It is not in Malaysia , so go to APKMirror or somewhere to download it and install
10. Plug in the cable and start Android Auto. Poof it works

Your spotify , your music and everything !

Thanks in advance

Mine is the grey model. The only downside is that dust looks very apparent in the color. Should be okay if u wash it often.

It's just the battery, within a year you can replace it. Service is still 3 years. I think quite a handful of people here get to replace their replace last time. Anyone driven more than a year plus and still havent replace the batt yet?
*
I havent. But my mileage is low, I'm at 17k lol

I got my M2 in Jan 2015, 32k mileage right now. So far no actual issue with battery, but my i-stop just started flashing amber which could indicate battery/i-stop problem. Scheduled a check next Friday. Will post if there's any relevance.
*
Do u always let i-stop run or turn it off everytime?

Thank you for the response bro, I was trying to go through the thread but there are so many pages, if you don't mind me asking, why is the battery so expensive? Is it not the normal battery? sorry if it is a nob question. Thanks

Also any other issues aside from the battery? any major issues? Are you able to get the replacement tyres with the right size already? it has been 2 years since this model was released
*
Not a normal battery, it's a battery with start-stop feature (iinm it's called deep cycle battery?).

Few more things to consider:
- the car has A LOT of blind angles. if the driver is clumsy, it's quite dangerous
- mazda maps is below par, u have to use ur own phone as GPS. Question is: where are u gonna put ur phone? Above dashboard has the mirror. I had to put it behind the HUD, not that ideal for eye position..

Accidentally bang into a wall.

Big scratch and a small dent. How much would it cost to repair this? Is it a must to go to Mazda body workshop panel, is this covered under warranty?

Based on official memo, only for car registered from 1st February 2017 onwards.

What was the reason behind this? Seems unfair to the old buyer...

Bluetooth wont latch to my phone, no idea why. Turning on/off bluetooth on my phone, still cant. So... I turned the BT on the HUD off and turned it on back.

Few seconds after that, the HUD restarted by itself. Any idea why?
