Go to your Mzd Connect settings for bluetooth. Go to Forget/Disconnect your phone.

Then reconnect all over again and see if it works.

Also, try to get your Mzd Display updated. Mine was older version, time to time also will restart for no reason
*
Was driving at that time, forgetting the phone means I have to authenticate the Bluetooth connection on the phone - hard to do while driving lol

I've been thinking of updating my MZD Display for some time, but too lazy... and don't see any reason to update it anyway hmm.gif

Bro, don't go for the original tires, only Mazda SC has them and they're stupidly expensive around 350-380 ringgit. You can go for 195/55 R16, it fits ok on our rims. Can easily find this size around RM220-250 each.
*
Which brand/model is that?

I thought ours at 350-380 is...okay price. Just nice for what what its quality is

Use Re003 or PS4

highly recommended.
*
Yes but RE003 or PS4 is even more expensive than ours. It should be around RM425++ per piece for RE003 or PS4? Don't think you can get it below RM400

Guys, how do you know if your battery needs changing?

I have checked at SC the battery charges, they recommend changing. But the battery light is not turned on... yet. Wondering how long can I still drive before I really have to change this.

Opinion?

Hi, I know tires have been discussed before in this thread but I'm still in a dilemma now as it's almost time for me to change my tires. Also planning to change my rims. So it's still going to be 16 but 7jj instead. I know that 185/55 is going to give me a significant difference in diameter as well as speedo reading. From searching around, 205/55 seems like a better option but apparently cant find this size for sale. If I go 205/50 I know it's going to be too uncomfortable. Even 195/55 which is the best option is unavailable. Any ideas?
*
185/60?

These are impossible to get. I think only service center carries them.

If you are looking for 205/55, I know Michelin XM2 and Continental CC6 has this size - they do sell this in Malaysia (at least according to their website).

Not sure about other brands.

Anyway, write here after you have change your tires, would like to know review too biggrin.gif I'm just at 20k km, so it probably would take me another 1.5 years before I actually need to change mine

Yes, if you do outside, and somehow they did not tighten or do it properly and caused damage to any component related to it, SC won't entertain the warranty claim. You have to pursue lawsuit the shop which did it and get your compensation because they did not do it properly.

Normal driving style, the original tyre can last 80,000km-100,000km if nothing happens to it.

That 5 years/100,000km warranty is a double-edge sword, one way it forces you to do business with SC for warranty to remain intact, but at least you have a peace of mind for 5 years if you don't drive it that often.
*
Isnt ours is 3 years / 60k km?

There are many alternatives others and I found online, some looked similar in spec, don't know whether available locally or not.

I think the Century battery you found is not up to spec for i-Stop.

According to GS Yausa website,

http://www.gs-yuasa.com/us/products/index.html

The "ECO.R Long Life Series" (not the "ECO.R Series" as this model's "eco"ness comes from recycling old battery into new) picture shows Q-85 type battery, which is also labelled as 90D23L. So I assume, the first two numbers of the battery name in JIS notation must be 90 and above to be above Q-85 standard.  hmm.gif

Similarly, the Panasonic CAOS 100D23L battery and Bosch HTP 115D23L.

The Century battery you found is 55D23L, lower than the spec. The first set of number "55" could signifies the durability/performance of the battery under cycle charge. So, higher number means better durability for idle start stop cars, like i-Stop.

It is the magic battery manufacturers put in the design of the battery makes it more durable.

http://www.acdelco.com.au/PDFs/Catalogue_A...o_Batteries.pdf (page 54) model SQ85D23LEFB, it is JIS EFB type battery, similar to Bosch S5 series.

There are newer AGM battery, should performs better than EFB battery, but not sure what Bosch Japan model calls it or whether it can produce better performance than EFB type 90D23L or 80B24L, or any available AGM battery in D23L or B24L form.

AGM vs EFB battery:
http://www.duracell-automotive.com/en/prod...ew/extreme.html

So we should target 90D23L (Q-85) or 80B24L (N-55) and above battery, no matter what is the brand.

Hope my contribution helps you to find this type of battery locally, for Mazda 2, 3, and 6.

Total noob question:

What about Q85, but the rating is lower than 90? I found a seller for Hitachi Q85 85D23L 68A. Since I'm a total noob, I'm asking here if this battery is okay to be used in our car

What is the price and where is your location. So long as there is Q-85 written on the battery and it says it is for stop-start vehicle, then it should be fine to use. From a compilation, battery price for Q-85 ranges from RM4XX to RM5XX, depends on location. Brands like Hankook, Varta, Koba, Hitachi, Amaron, etc. They are 90D23L. The Delkor 115D23L no idea on the price, I think only sell at SC. Don't take GS battery which need to fill up water, those I mentioned are maintenance free EFB battery.
*
Ah... I was thinking about the first 2 numbers in the 6 digit series : 85D23L. So as long as it's Q85, it doesn't matter then?

My iStop light went orange and blinking + the ! warning sign also goes orange yesterday. Is that sign of battery dying?

Weirdly, the ! sign goes off by itself this afternoon. Could that due to my battery charged back again by my morning drive?

Or is this all abnormal, is my alternator problematic or what? hmm.gif

1. Question to those that has changed their tire: How many mileage did you get from the Dunlop Enasave tires?

2. Is XM2/CC6 the same level as the Enasave or is it lower/higher? I kind of get the idea of how Michelin, Conti tires' level in their own brand, but don't know how they compare against other brands.
