After receiving my car, I am satisfied with it.
To list out a few of what I like and don't like about the M2 SDN: + Smooth acceleration, and rpm pickup from 2.5k onwards is ample enough to overtake other cars + NVH is good at lower speed, wind noise from side mirrors can be heard from 90-100km/h onwards + FC is better than my old City (this is what I call technological advancement) + MZD is something new to this segment, it even has internet radio + Seats are comfortable and organ-type acceleration pedal are easier to control + i-Stop activates much more readily in our hot climate, especially at night when it is cooler, it can span longer time, saves more fuel + Performs adequately at absorbing small bumps + Well balanced car, gives more confidence at taking corners and driving at higher speed. - Rear seat is bumpy - Backrest lever needs to be pulled in a specific way to avoid jam - Car delivery experience is not satisfying, a lot of space to improve here, car is not thoroughly washed before delivery, a lot of artifacts left over from production such as powdery (wax?) all over the interior, cellophane tape gum mark on the paint, after sending my car to an auto detailer nearby right after delivery, after thoroughly washed the car, stone chips and scratches were found all over the car as the dealer drove all the way from Kajang to showroom - No mirror link capabilities on MZD |

QUOTE(ashii11 @ May 1 2015, 09:45 PM) If you want it to close, you turn the side mirror adjustment knob until the indicator facing the bottom, it will fold in.All-around lock can only be done on the driver's lock. |

QUOTE(pizzy @ May 2 2015, 08:54 PM) I rather have front camera than reverse sensor. The problem with the front is underestimated the height of the curb when parking. Sensors sometimes won't pick up curb and ended up scratching the bottom of the bumper. Same goes to reverse sensor. |

QUOTE(hanifw @ May 2 2015, 09:04 PM) Different location will give different kind of feedback. If you are living in KK, I believe it will be more bumpy than usual when going over bigger bumps. Smaller ones are absorbed by the high profile tyres nicely. Driving on smooth road, NVH is great. This is a well balanced car great for taking corners with confidence, but don't overdo it. |

QUOTE(Secret Choong @ May 2 2015, 10:58 PM) car loan baru approved. SA say only need to wait 1-2 months for red sedan. the deal i got includes rm800 cash rebate, llumar crytal 6 + air blue for windscreen for rm2000 (gst inclusive), smart tag, tyre pump and umbrella. Dunno if it is the best deal i could have gotten but im happy with it lah Yes, soul red is the most popular colour among M2 (see first page). Rm800 quite a better deal than mine. Eager to welcome you here. Remember no racing promotion allowed, we don't want to end up like a certain Myvi club. |

QUOTE(Secret Choong @ May 2 2015, 11:39 PM) Hi RicoT, all thanks to you for recommending susan, i think because i went end of the month she wants to push sales, so gave me rm800 to seal the deal. I'm a civilized driver, haha, hardly speed and don't simply goyang sina goyang sana. Those Myvi drivers got to live with this for the rest of their lives, killed 3 people and made 2 innocent kids instantly orphans in one stupid race. QUOTE(sonic6688 @ May 3 2015, 01:51 PM) Which dealer you book it from? I booked mine at Ipoh said need to wait 4 months and just one full tank of petrol... Province Growth Sdn BhdMazda Old Klang Road Susan Liew +60126878622 Their company are pushing sales. If not mistaken, once a dealer reached a certain sales quota, they can get more allocation per shipment. So faster delivery time. This post has been edited by RicoT: May 3 2015, 02:33 PM |

QUOTE(Secret Choong @ May 3 2015, 06:28 PM) Ya, I was expecting to wait 3-4 months for soul red sedan, when she told me 1-2 months I was also shocked. she even said early april that time got ready stock summore (maybe people cancel booking) Might be one of the factor? Cancel M2 take M3, since M3 low spec priced about the same as M2, bigger rear space. |

QUOTE(PsychoDande @ May 3 2015, 07:40 PM) At least now got the option to add RM20k to get a M3 low spec, better than previously 1 spec for CBU version add RM40k. QUOTE(pizzy @ May 3 2015, 08:41 PM) Compare to M2, M3 low spec isn't it about the same, equipment wise? Halogen headlights, MZD without GPS, i-Stop no i-ELoop, no cruise control, no sunroof, etc. So RM20k difference is larger cabin and 2.0L engine. QUOTE(pizzy @ May 3 2015, 09:29 PM) RM380 vs. RM90That is per year. Some might have small children family already and financially sound, hence able to afford RM140k car but choose not to do so. Previously there is no other spec for CBU M3 (CBU) RM140k, but now there is CKD low M3 RM115k, to them, it opens up an option again. Hence, the upgrade. Another factor is the SA good at persuading customers, ask Secret Choong on his experience with that SA and how he get RM800 discount, agressive sales? QUOTE(ssyycc @ May 3 2015, 09:56 PM) I think M2 not that hot now, because t/h/n/f cars all giving lot of discount. So it's difficult to sell. QUOTE(anttan @ May 3 2015, 10:01 PM) So will we expected to have more discount since is so competitive now? The problem with M2 (being CBU), is limited by the amount of AP, which also directly limits their ability to sell in large numbers. Hopefully with M3, CX-5 being CKD now, more AP is freed up for M2.I just know that Toyota giving out RM6k discount. Honda City on the other hand is CKD, hence they are only limited by their production output. Mazda knows they are competitively in front of other brands in C-segment and SUV for M3 and CX-5, hence, they plan to CKD it to eliminate this bottleneck. Hopefully, we can see more Mazda cars in the market to boost this brand's presence. |

QUOTE(ssyycc @ May 4 2015, 12:59 AM) I think even CKD will not be a lot cheaper for m2. but it could happen. May be they will take out the rear disc brake and leather seat and the mzd connect and the 16 inch rim. may be 70k is possible. The advantage of having it CKD is to eliminate the AP bottleneck. However, Mazda already invested heavily in Thailand to manufacture M2. M3 (vs. Altis, Civic, Sylphy, Focus, 308, Fluence, etc.) and CX-5 (vs. CR-V, X-Trail) have more market advantage here, hence, Bermaz and Mazda had decided to CKD them here since they do not have production line for these 2 cars in ASEAN.So now, more AP has been freed up to import M2, unless the sales for M2 overtook the newly available AP Bermaz has, it is unlikely they will consider CKD M2 here since market demand is insufficient, and has to compete with a lot of other brands within the same price range (Vios, City, Almera, Preve, 207?, Clio, Fiesta). I believe they will import the same range here, and introduce M2 diesel end of this year after they concluded the fuel test with their diesel test mules running around to check. http://www.autofreaks.com/reviews/first-im...v-diesel-video/ Much like Mercedes Benz E300 BlueTec Hybrid using C220 CDI running around Malaysia last year to try the fuel. http://<link removed>/2014/08/07/mercedes-ben...-test-malaysia/ |

QUOTE(anttan @ May 4 2015, 11:14 AM) FC wise diesel will be superior, easily 4L/100km or 1000km per full tank vs. petrol ~5.5L/100km if drive normally. Drive feeling will be similar as the high torque will be traded off with wider gear ratio to compensate for lack of rpm (Redline ~5k rpm). Diesel will be louder, rumble in low frequency and under hard acceleration there will be black smoke (Normal driving won't have any black smoke at all).In petrol station have to queue up with 4x4 and lorries. Some petrol station only have 2-3 pumps for diesel. |

QUOTE(Jim.tan @ May 4 2015, 02:29 PM) Don't think M2 will CKD, I remember BT50 and M2 belong to Thailand Plant. So it's like a agreement between Mazda Asia and Mazda Japan.. Something like this. Mazda Japan invested heavily in that plant because Thailand demand for M2 and BT-50 is great.PS : anyone looking for Alu / Grey M2? Have ready stock here You can post what is your offering here so we can help you. |
