15 - 17 inch
gaming and graphic rendering (photoshop and video editing)
RM6-7k
preferrable gtx 970m-980m
either AW 15-17/Asus G751/MSI ??
AW and Asus G571 good cooling and ventilation system, but MSI unsure

Hi aswad1986,

For that budget, you can consider the GE62 2QF Apache and GT72 2QD Dominator. Both have the 970M GPU and are using the latest 4th Gen Intel i7-472HQ CPU.

MSI GE62 2QF Apache Pro @RM5,999
Nvidia GTX970M, 3GB GDDR5
Intel i7-4720HQ
1TB (SATA) 7200RPM
8GB DDR3 RAM
15.6" UHD, (3840*2160) 4K IPS
http://my.msi.com/product/nb/GE62-2QF-Apac...l#hero-overview

MSI GT72 2QD Dominator @RM7,699
Nvidia GTX970M, 3GB GDDR5
Intel i7-4720HQ
1TB (SATA) 7200RPM
8GB DDR3 RAM
17.3" FHD IPS, Anti-Glare (1920*1080)
http://my.msi.com/product/nb/GT72-2QD-Domi...l#hero-overview

The GT72 Dominator is slightly above your budget but has a 17.3" FHD screen. It's also upgradeable with the MXM GPU that it uses. The GE62 Apache on the other hand is cheaper cause smaller screen but its 4K IPS.

Ask around the dealers and see what freebies MSI is giving also. Sometimes got free game that bundle together.

All the best! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Hey wordtalks,

With your usage, i think you can go for a lower end model with entry level GPU cause you're mostly doing programming and browsing right?

Previously recommended MSI GE60 series because of the SteelSeries keyboard (and key mapping functions) and 4K output for external monitors.

You may want to consider that. Or another thing is to compare based on screen quality since you're Youtubing alot.

Out of all those brands, Lenovo Y50 has issues while MSI GE62 has Anti-Glare for better viewing angles. Illegear also got a colour calibration option where you pay a bit more for them to calibrate your screen colour by professionals.

Wanna ask all sifus here on which laptop to buy…currently thinking on changing a new laptop I have no idea to choose 1
My budget is at RM3k
I use my laptop to do some programming(edit GUI and coding), normal gaming(Dota 2 or other normal settings games), watching full HD movies surfing net and others…and I need a nice full HD screen if possible, but the biggest screen I can go for is 15.6 inch I guess...haha
So how all sifus? Thanks in advance! =D
