MSI GP60 2QF Leopard Pro vs ASUS GL552JX-DM174H?

Both + GST under 3.2k  I think..

Specs wise the ASUS one seems better but kinda worried about the cooling and all. Thoughts?
*
Both have heat issue. If you want to get them. i suggest looking up how to underclock and/or undervolt cpu to get a good temp.

Asus does have good quality in it and is a new model while the MSI is a refresh model with newer hardware.

Do make some time to check it out in person as it will help you to make a decision faster.

Aik... where got G551JW DM016H for RM3.4k. Afaik, 3.4k for G551jm model..
Sigh too bad now after gst it's hard to find GTX 860M around 3k price.
I has seen G551jm for Rm3175 at Jayacom december 14 price list.
It's shame than malaysina cannot buy from amazon/newegg. There got many seller put low price for used and refurbished products.
*
Well, there is LYN seller who is selling at lower price or check out garage sale section.

Jokes aside. Latitude or thinkpad series has the quality that you need but not the GPU as it is business oriented or the newly launch MSI Prestige or Illegear Q series but budget wise is more la.

I think it's either gonna be the MSI GE62 or Illegear Z/Q.
But I don't hear much about Illegear's laptops, are they reliable?
*
It is clevo based which in essence the "same" as MSI or any other brand because they produce the barebone chassis and sell them.

Illegear is based on Malaysia using the clevo models. So far their after sale service is also good and hardware is abit pricier but for me i dont mind adding extra for the after sale services that they provide.

Forgot to add another brand which is cyberforge (i think it is still operating. It is singapore based.)

Spec wise if compared to the above spec. Surface pro 3 would be better but the price would be also higher.

Hey guys i'm looking at ASUS G501JW gaming laptop on discount at Lazada.

http://www.lazada.com.my/asus-g501jw-cn117...ok-1406247.html

Is it a good buy? With the existing 6% discount from Lazada + 6% cashback from Shopback I think it'll set me back about 4229? Still Quite ex for me.

Anybody tried the HSBC friday discount for Lazada? Can use with Shopback cashback?

Also does anyone know any good laptop deals on Rakuten? They have new coupon codes so I can get my laptop for a cheaper price :

1. USE10 (10 RM off 80)
2. USE25 (25 RM off 200)
3. USE50 (50 RM off 400)
*
If you dont mind the heat and bad after sale service then by all means go ahead.
It is quite slim and light with gaming capabilities.

That's what my friends are telling me too! Is Lazada's CS really that bad?

Appreciate more comments pls and ty!
*
Well, online shopping does have its reputation as bad because of the resellers. Just be cautious when buying online. The CS i was refering to Asus.
It is a lucky draw on online shopping if the reseller is unknown. Best is to either go to physical shop or garage sale section to look for reseller (Of course be on guard).

Dell ah? Which model?

I would like something high spec but not so exp like alienware.
*
The higher end Inspiron model or Alienware.

Check it out and if you have any question. Please do not hesitate to ask.

You also could get the Hp Omen since the price drop to RM4499 (if i remember correctly) to RM5499 (somewhere there). I think Hp also has international warranty.

What is your budget?
At least state it and some preferences so that we can narrow it down.

1. Preferred Brand - Any
2. Budget -  RM3000
3. Usage - for Work
4. Screen size - 14" preferable.

Additional notes I would like i7, 8gb ram and 1TB HDD.

Was wondering why Dell has a huge disparity in prices on resellers and their direct online store? Are resellers safe? Thanks
*
Dell Inspiron 7447.

Like anything else do practice cautious when buying stuffs either online or resellers.

If Dell sells cheaper then the reseller then the reseller wont have business (From what i heard. lol). Some reseller selling DFO units which is unit that is spoiled on arrival but is repaired and given warranty (From what i heard.).

I actually created a new thread until I realize the existence of this thread..I hope I didnt break any rules  sweat.gif

1. Preferred Brand : Any brand but Acer
2. Budget : Below RM2500
3. Usage :
- Gaming, like The Sims series, football games (PES, FIFA), etc..
- Softwares (like photoshop, illustrator, sony vegas etc..)
- Downloading, watching movies
- Other things for university students
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14 inch or below

I'm looking at Lenovo Y40 but it seems it has mixed reviews unsure.gif  The laptop must have good cooling system and battery life too.
*
Well, the Lenovo Y40 uses a dual core i7 compared to Dell Inspiron 7447 which is a quad core version. As you use software like photoshop etc having the more powerful i7 in Dell helps a lot not to mention the GPU in Dell is better than Y40.

Plus Dell does have one of the best after sale service.
