Sorry I disagree. It's abt etiquette and safety.

Not true at all. If you've been to any MMA gyms, they don't wear shoes at all that including me. Never mind that, powerlifters don't wear shoes as well, not all, but most prefer not to. Unless you fall under the category where people go to gym just to do curls and whatnot.

i had to take my running shoes off during deadlifts and squats because i'm too much of a cheapskate to buy proper pair of shoes. the manager of the gym i go to doesn't seem to mind.

was on converse. shit cost more than 300 bucks and only lasted 4 months until the sole decided to come off. went to a cobler and he sewed it to the shoe frame, but it still somehow managed to come off. Always had bad hip and hamstring flexibility so each time squatting had to put a plate underneath to get the heels elevated (the butt will go on full blown winking if the heels were not elevated).

Then managed to get a pair of Inov 8 Faslift 325 for half the price.

recently got a pair of adidas adipower weightlighting shoes. this thing feels damn good.

Hi, if i were to compare adidas and nike training shoes, which is better? I quite like this shoe, Adidas Crazytrain Pro 3.0 but i've no idea if it is suitable for weight trainings and light cardio in the gym.

If you are not doing heavy deadlifts and squats, crazytrain should be ok. Not sure how boost is on gym/training shoe.

It depends on the mood that day, sometimes i do heavy weights. My current Nike shoe feels too hard for the gym and it's quite old too.

Training shoes with stiff soles wont be good for cardio. I tried repper dsx on treadmill and felt like they are banging lol. However for occasional sprinting is ok. Dsx flyknit is a lot more but i feel im getting movement in the fronts - a bit soft for heavy lifts. You should be fine with crazytrain however i cant comment on the boost sole. Try before you buy.

Try the Nike Free x Metcons, I have these and they are comfortable enough for some light cardio and offer good support for squats/deadlifts.

Romaleos 2 for squat

Air force 1 for accessories

I'm getting Sabo for deadlift next month

Currently deadlifts barefoot but IPF won't allow that in the meet I will eventually need a pair of low and flat shoe for deadlift

I have very simply shoes out of something like it's made out of rag materials and that's really that. Do not buy something from leather in order not to damage it along with your foots. Hell you can do all that even in simple sandals and that's really that.
