I'm curious about clear and green switches would be suitable for what kind of application ? Gaming ?

It's basically a blue with stiffer/heavier spring.

Clears are usually modded, it is like a heavier brown.Modded ones are called ergo clears. Lubed and changed with lighter springs.

Both not widely available in the market, occasionally will have some models of keyboard using them. More to be found in the custom keyboard community nowadays.

it's not so much about suitable for what kind of application, but more so on suitable to the user's preference (and finger strength).
the stock mx clear switch is quite heavy and the most non-clicky tactile the switch can offer. this is mainly for people who has heavy finger or heavy typing.
but one can mod the switch by replacing the springs to lighter springs, depending on their preference.

same goes to mx green. it's basically mx blue switch with heavy spring.

as for which application, it can be used for anything, just depends on the user's preference.

Thanks for your information and the only thing I could do right now is getting a switches tester. By the way, I am wondering which keyboard is compatible to MacOSX?

Just would like to ask if anyone has had GST incurred on their online purchases since implementation i.e. keycap sets/keyboards? If so, care to impart your experience?

Have a few sets from ctrlalt and signature plastics that will touch the RM500 mark (depending on the exchange rate used) which will be delivered, and am concerned that either would have to go to LCCT multiple times or appoint Poslaju several times at RM40-50 bucks a pop.

Not really. Some boards have problem with Mac because of the NKRO workaround.

However, most recent boards are 100% compatible.

So the issue with compatibility is one issue that buyers must be aware of is only when they buy 2nd hand boards, and even then it is possible to have a simple workaround.

I got a set of GMK red alert came from China, already cross RM500 mark by a margin. But I receive it without any tax, probably because the agent did not state the value of the item. Just my experience for that. Hope you won't get taxed for your ctrlalt and SP set.

Ya, you are right. I still remember, if on NKRO for Ducky 2 will made keys register go haywire when using Mac.
Btw, HHKB, Filco, CM Storm or recent 1 are compatible with Mac.

DS3 is obsolete/EOL. Might wanna check DS4 instead.

No longer keep up with commercial boards, so need other shoppers to come help this poor sap.

I see... Should probably keep tabs here for a few days to confirm if its really gone. But I really wanted Green LED/ MX Black / full size, if there's any other similar products do recommend as these are pretty rare ._.

If you so particular just get a full custom. That's my answer nowadays to any question about "I want this but can't find that"

At first, I was thinking to get a Corsair K70 but I have seen some users complained that it is not compatible with Mac

I like the HHKB Pro 2 but it doesn't come with arrow keys, which I use quite often.

By the way, the B87 has caught my eye; I'm tempted to custom build my keyboard

So is everyone until they see the price tag and the time and/or effort needed to build it.

Only thing I have to say is this: Custom is endgame, so are you ready for it?
