So is everyone until they see the price tag and the time and/or effort needed to build it.

Only thing I have to say is this: Custom is endgame, so are you ready for it?

If add a set of thick ABS/PBT then really end game hahaha..

I think SA or DSA Profile PBT Keycap Set will be end game.
Especially, if it comes with a theme. Like Dolch.

When I say custom, it must come with either:
A) BSP/GMK caps
B) SP groupbuy caps in unique colourways (SA>DSA, but accept either).

Anything else is moot and pointless.

I like the HHKB Pro 2 but it doesn't come with arrow keys, which I use quite often.

By the way, the B87 has caught my eye; I'm tempted to custom build my keyboard
*
If you wish for dedicated arrow keys, then go for Filco.
You need press FN+ certain keys to get arrow keys in HHKB. You may go for Realforce 23U for the dedicated arrow keys.
Well, for those use VIM, they don't use cursor.
Else, just get used to the HHKB layout...

Just FYI, the base price to get a set of B87 unassembled will set you back close to RM700, this is not including switches, all the assembly and soldering work that you have to pay someone to do it.

When you have a custom, I assume you'll not be satisfied with a set of cheap key set, so a set of high quality one may cost you 200-500 or even more.

It will easily go close to 1k, be careful what you wished for biggrin.gif

I know, I've seen that on GH, and also read a little about it. Currently no budget to go aluminum yet. Still immune to that poison. Well, maybe not long tongue.gif

But, but, but, forum rules(if not wrong) say images larger than 800x600 only need spoiler. cry.gif

Different thread different rules.
Here always put spoiler if want put image(medium, large).

Putting a image without spoiler is like scooping shits to other people mouth when others don't even want to eat it.
Most don't even want to see pictures, just want to see the conversation. So, please be considerate.

As I am a DIY guy, the assembly and soldering work absolutely not a problem for me.

The only I thing that I concern about is getting the right part and the right design I want to have. For instance, which switches and key caps that I should get.
