Stock gaterons blacks? I've already used mx blues, and mx clears. I don't know if id like linear tho.
Any suggestions? I thought of using linear gaterons but then it's kinda soft. Maybe even too soft. I have one clear gateron and it's really smooth but I guess it's because it's lubed anyways from the owner.

um. i think it mx black uses 60g springs and gateron black uses 50g but i've got a bunch of 62g anyways.
well my plan was to get mx blues and swap it out but blah. idk.
linears might be nice tho for a change.

I like tactile. My first board was a ducky with browns. tbh, browns are not that bad.
but clear switch with 62g is really the sweet spot for me now.

Either way. Looks real clean and nice. By the way, did you lube the switches? You said previously the switches came pre-lubed a little. I actually still have some thick lube that was meant for tactile switches. Not sure if it's appropriate if I use it for linear. Maybe if I could just apply it evenly and thinly?

his plate supports both 1.25 and 1.5 layout.
i'm using the 1.25 one.
yeah, like he said it's better to put the switch and keycaps before soldering so you'll get the exact fit.

Not sure bout local prices but you could look into ducky shine 3.

Yes, spirit has pretty sick acrylic case tbh. Its just his schedule is really out of order.

Yeah, it's kinda thick. But I think he made some changes to for his R2 models by reducing the 3 layers to 2.
Think the bezel he sorta made it thinner too

well, if you're worried it might burn out just do the sip socket mod before soldering the switch in.
if the leds were to burn out then you can replace them easily but then again, I've not seen anyone soldering it individually based on the colour.

Congrats but first things first, is it the pbt version? If so, you're gonna have a hard time removing them since the legends are infilled. mine are yellowing too but they're thick pbt so there's that.

I suggest you to mount the switch sticker(if you're doing it) first then only the sockets. ofc without the black parts.
When you solder the switch, stick a led into the socket so you can solder the joints in easier and no there's no clearance issue.
