Already used to it in my kustom keyboards Right now I have not touch the keyboard yet, just taking photos only. Did you join Triumph Adler keycaps group buy on Massdrop ? Nope, I did not. I'm waiting for the classic beige GMK. TA looks alright, altho the tsangan apparently has a B profile or something. Alot ppl's complaining over at GH lulz

QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Mar 28 2015, 08:46 PM) maybe wait awhile more for poker 3? heard that it is coming soon, but not sure how long it will take to get to malaysia. poker 3 has a funny arrow cluster position on its 2nd layer. think it's like towards the middle right. just glanced through it, not sure how is it. took me a week to get used to poke 2's layer but it's fine.

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Mar 29 2015, 02:36 PM) Good afternoon. Just finished changing my brand new Filco switches. Because stock mx red is too sucks. Mobile data user warning 1800px » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Dank. Stock gaterons blacks? I've already used mx blues, and mx clears. I don't know if id like linear tho. Any suggestions? I thought of using linear gaterons but then it's kinda soft. Maybe even too soft. I have one clear gateron and it's really smooth but I guess it's because it's lubed anyways from the owner.

QUOTE(Lotus1109 @ Mar 29 2015, 08:08 PM) Gateron backs using similar spring like mx black? Mx black should be heavy right? Haha um. i think it mx black uses 60g springs and gateron black uses 50g but i've got a bunch of 62g anyways. well my plan was to get mx blues and swap it out but blah. idk. linears might be nice tho for a change.

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Mar 29 2015, 09:59 PM) Will never use stock spring Always 55g for me. If you don't like linear, dont paksa urself to like linear Gateron stock linear got 3 weights, 1 is clear with 45g spring, 1 is red with 60g spring, and 1 more black is 80g spring kinda heavy. Gateron switches are smooth to start with, and they comes with a little lube. welp. I don't mind trying linear but we'll see. still waiting for my pcb from GON

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Mar 29 2015, 10:40 PM) Go for Topre, tactile switch. Don't even bother to try linear, if really don't like linear. I like tactile. My first board was a ducky with browns. tbh, browns are not that bad. but clear switch with 62g is really the sweet spot for me now.

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Mar 30 2015, 12:00 AM) GON Last photo for tonight. 1Mbit warning » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Niceeee! I just realised that Filcos switch orientation is upside down on the bottom left side. Lol Either way. Looks real clean and nice. By the way, did you lube the switches? You said previously the switches came pre-lubed a little. I actually still have some thick lube that was meant for tactile switches. Not sure if it's appropriate if I use it for linear. Maybe if I could just apply it evenly and thinly?

QUOTE(SticH @ Mar 30 2015, 04:49 PM) its from spirit, I've already cut of a piece cause it's blocking the shift stabs, now this his plate supports both 1.25 and 1.5 layout. i'm using the 1.25 one. yeah, like he said it's better to put the switch and keycaps before soldering so you'll get the exact fit.

QUOTE(yuktsi14 @ Apr 4 2015, 08:06 PM) bezel too thick Yeah, it's kinda thick. But I think he made some changes to for his R2 models by reducing the 3 layers to 2. Think the bezel he sorta made it thinner too

QUOTE(SticH @ Apr 5 2015, 02:13 PM) Hey guys, for this kind of multiple led color set up, we have to use different resistor at different led slot? Edit : Hmm checked that most of them are using 3V, just red color is 2V, will it burn the red color? well, if you're worried it might burn out just do the sip socket mod before soldering the switch in. if the leds were to burn out then you can replace them easily but then again, I've not seen anyone soldering it individually based on the colour.

QUOTE(Adrian_Alastair @ Apr 6 2015, 08:50 AM) Just bought my first ever mechanical keyboard, a second hand Poker V2. There's some yellowing on the engraved letters, is it safe to soak them into orthodontic cleaning tablet solutions to clean them? Congrats but first things first, is it the pbt version? If so, you're gonna have a hard time removing them since the legends are infilled. mine are yellowing too but they're thick pbt so there's that.

QUOTE(ntw @ Apr 7 2015, 12:14 AM) in case you haven't noticed, the TA drop has ended. but a full set of granite which can cover ISO, winkeyless and/or winkey layout (common kit+icon mod+icon pro+iso enter+numpad) goes for $109 while a fullset of TA goes for $99. trust in dishwasher soap!! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « you have to remove the black plastic shell otherwise there will be fitting issue. the switch top won't be able to close if you don't. the whole process of removing the black shell is quite tedious, not sure if there are any SIP sold without it though I suggest you to mount the switch sticker(if you're doing it) first then only the sockets. ofc without the black parts. When you solder the switch, stick a led into the socket so you can solder the joints in easier and no there's no clearance issue. QUOTE(justordinary @ Apr 7 2015, 12:41 AM) Yeah i got into the TA drop I saw SIP sockets without the shell on taobao but didn't save the link.
