SOTD - Lonestar Memories by Tauer Perfumes
It truly is an ode to birch tar. You have to love birch tar to love this one. The closest of what it smells like that I can think of is Ambra by Santa Maria Novella. Performance of Lonestar Memories is excellent. Wearing this makes me thinking of Cuir Cannage and Knize Ten of which I might be getting one of them next. I've concluded Salome by Papillon is not for me after much testing.

Thanks for the feedback. You do have a great sense of smell as I only sensed the slight bitterness as compared to the Bergamot, everything else is the same. Tested from the box samples they have counters.

Did you try Sicilian Mandarin? It's lighter than both, in my opinion. You may like it.

I love the birch tar in Aventus. Got to try Tauer.

Yes, I have tried Sicilian Mandarin but it's not to my liking, as you mentioned, it's a bit on the light side. My preference is more on the Indonesian Oud sort of sillage, am I wrong to use that word? Don't quite fancy the "orangy" smell of it too, & perhaps that's why I never liked Terre D'Hermes even though its mightily popular.

You guys really have exquisite taste in fragrances, such rarities for scents used.

SOTD - Le Maroc Pour Elle by Tauer Perfumes
Beautiful rose, jasmine and resins. No, not the usual jammy rose. It's the same rose I get from his Incense Rose. Like most Tauer's, performance of LMPE is excellent.

Nice shots guys!

Today I'm wearing the queen of animalic scent - Bal a Versailles Eau de Cologne by Jean Desprez, which was first released in 1962. Based on the packaging, the canister is the 70's version and the bottle ones are the original 60's version.
