If that's true, then I'd skip Switch maybe like forever. Fullstop. But never come cross such info yet.
I've read this somewhere about Xbox One physical game tied to 1 account, pretty much ruined their reputation. Things might be differ if Nintendo do the same.

Yeah... Microsoft tried to do something stupid for Xbox One

https://www.forbes.com/sites/nigamarora/201...t/#7fcb4dd78789

1. Daily checkin - every 24 hours, your Xbox One will connect to Microsoft servers to check on your game DRM. No internet? Xbox One will stop working until you do (WTF?)
2. Buying physical games? It's tied to your account. You cannot resell, or share your games with your friends until you pay to them (Microsoft? Publishers?) to allow you to "resell" your used physical game (WTF?)

After the E3 announcement by Sony that says, you can play the PS4 offline from day 1, and you can share games with your friends, Microsoft revised their policy, but not before Sony did a brilliant troll advert on this:

I'm 100% positive Nintendo will never do something this stupid. If they do it, I'm sure that a huge chunk of buyers will not buy the Switch.

Haha, that over confident of Microsoft. Nice troll Sony.
Yeah, nobody gonna keep finished games like forever. Some will resell and some will keep.
Even for digital copy, people will think to make resell possible. Haha.
And the game card or cart, the issue stated by isr25 is true, I lost some of my Vita game carts before.
That's cost me no cheap. Later I focus on PSN+ eversince.

Oh man! One week to go!

By the way, seems like bundling strategy isn't unique to here. Dubai is doing the same:

so basically, while other places like Japan and USA aren't forced with Z:BOTW and 1-2S "bundled", every other region that takes stocks with Maxsoft are forced to have the bundle shoved down?

I just don't understand why they need to shove the 2 games down? Is it because they need to give the impression "hey, Zelda sold out, and now 1-2S sold out, so you third party devs, listen up, switch sells, the game sells, see?"

I think Nintendo should just stop produce the grey switch, almost everyone wanted the neon switch.
Just came back frm down under, neon set preorder were all sold out! Left the greys only, just like here laugh.gif

It's more of having power over a captive market. You can sort of 'force' sales.

More competition would make it more difficult to do these sort of practice.

At first I wanted to the Neon colours, but when I found out it wasn't a limited edition and they were selling Neon joy cons as well, I liked the grey ones better tongue.gif

I'm still torn. Gray has that nice understated look to it. But neon pulak is super outlandish. Love both! Damn

Just so you know, the neon bundle is kind of special, because the separate neon joy cons colors are inverted, for those people who wants a perfect match. So unless you buy individual blue left/red right, you won't be able to buy them in packs. If you plan on collecting perfect color, the neon bundle is the best way to start since you can easily buy 2 grey down the road, but buying blue left red right will be troublesome.

Err... Not really special. Kind of the same... Not interested in which is which since it's one of each colour anyway tongue.gif

Hopefully Nintendo comes out with transparent/clear Joy Cons like they did for Gameboy. I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

What I mean is, if you want a perfect red and blue set together, you have to buy individual blue/red for that. They don't sell blue left right red pair.

You all know Grey is actually more famous in Japan? Age 20ish and above prefer grey over neon. Mostly only father or mother who bring kids to purchased chosen neon.

I would buy a grey one just to make sure it doesn't stand out too much. No offense, I would love the coloured option too, but it attracts too much attention, and in Malaysia it probably isn't the best of things.

You know, I read up about NDS and Switch "Co-existing", and can't help but to read along the lines.

When the term co-exist, I don't think Nintendo was saying "we'll have the same dev developing for two", but more of like

1) "NDS is still making money, the library's great, and it'll still make money. We'll milk it until people don't play on the 3DS anymore".
2) "Switch is at 'heart' a home console, but you can bring it with you." <-- this statement was already made before. So it should sound like "in the future, the convergence is towards the portable-console!"
3) "this is the direction we're heading, where we're marrying portables and consoles, but NDS isn't a portable console".

Or something like that.
