Anybody preordered from Impulse who got the email, after replying, did they respond to you anything?

Whole point of preordering early is for neon! Honestly Neon looks ugly from my first look at the console, still going for neon regardless.
Grey looks like those china knock offs android console. Neon looks more fun.

Beware of these shops. They won't honor you the preorder price if any problems occured and they don't care about whether there's enough stock for you.
Also no neon bundle = no buy!

Definitely can, i also asked few days ago cannot, but according to email yesterday, confirm can. I'm opting for postage sadly.

Why wait for console review? Console review are some of the most pointless stuff to read.
Phones I understand because there's yearly revision, but console is at least a 5~6 years cycle.
If you truly enjoy Nintendo game, you will eventually get one regardless. But if the considering factor is because of the Maxsoft bundle bs, then I understand, waiting is definitely the best thing to do if you can.

The point is, no matter how terrible the console is, it plays Nintendo games!

RM1824 + zelda RM250 = 2074
Postage + handling fee + bla bla bla + shipment from japan to HK to Malaysia, will be weeks.

I would say Impulse as of now is the most reliable and best option, hoping the free gift is really worth while.

So totaling at around how much + zelda?

Come to think of it, you plus this and that, eventually you will end up at around 1.9k including zelda. Might as well throw in another 100 for 1,2 switch and the promising free gift from impulse. Plus neon bundle, don't have to worry about shipment from other countries or go through the hassle to forward shipping.

Because they are not one of the official retailer and still have no idea where they will secure stock from, therefore collecting deposit for promising nothing.

Whoever is handling Maxsoft marketing department/price deciding department, I'm amazed by their confident.
What they are doing is EXACTLY OPPOSITE of what you learn from business marketing strategies....
Like the whole point of Nintendo setting the Switch price for $299 and games cost $59.99, giving you the illusion of not that expensive. Also recently every companies are selling stuff in standalone model during launch to avoid the high cost, convincing more people to buy their product.

And then there is Maxsoft. Markup Switch price, fine, GST import duty or whatever. They cramp in 2 games with no options, adding the extra RM500 in their advertisement, bumping the price to RM2k. I seriously don't see Switch will be as success as 3DS in Malaysia. Was hoping since Wii U community is so small, Switch will be the chosen one to bring 3DS and Wii U players together. Looks like Switch will be worse with the RM2k starter pack.

Oh no, I mean I don't know about others, but I'm fine with the price. Zelda was a day 1 lock and I was already on the fence for 1,2 Switch. Really, the price differences if you import + that 2 games is around like RM50 or around that. I just thought that they are stupid for making it a bundle, repelling a lot of potential buyers with a RM2k price tag.

or you know, I already planned on buying both of those game either way, I don't get your point on suggesting me to wait.

Someone confirmed it was RM10*10 few pages ago. I guess that explains why they aren't giving any points/credits for online purchase.

So to people who is advising others to import or planning to go oversea and buy because of the "super jacked up" price, good luck with the warranty.

Without a doubt there will be a fix, or the fix is already completed waiting for their server to go online and push the update.
Just that since prelaunch we already got multiple reports on these kind of problems from that few reviewers, for sure there will be a lot of other problems when it is mass shipped. So becareful with that warranty.

It's 2017, there's not a single device that doesn't support dual voltage today. It's just dumb to manufacture 2 types of different adapter instead of unifying them.

The reason why they are giving animal crossing amiibo instead of mario amiibo because the price differences for each amiibo is RM70.

I don't see why they are fake shop, just that why bother with going through so much trouble just to save that few ringgits. Sometimes paying premium price in a shop with good service is easier. If you have any problems, easier to solve too.

Previously lesson learned for me was PS4 Pro. GemFive had it for RM200 cheaper, so I thought what could possibly go wrong. That was the first and last time I will buy from game shops that I don't trust. Impulse and HeavyArms is my go-to.

It wasn't really the fact that they couldn't get enough stock, it's their response and how they handle it. Yes Sony Malaysia was behind all of these for not securing sufficient stock, but the way impulse/heavyarms is handling the situation compared to other shops from 11street or gemfive is what pisses me off.
Asked them when can we get the stock, they say on launch because Sony allocated a lot of stocks for them this time, 200 units. Blindly taking preorder despite other bigger shops stopped taking order to prevent stuff like these happens. Near launch suddenly announce no stock at all, have to wait for a month, then 2 months and 4 months. Ask about what queue am I in, they get frustrated because too many people asking them. What kind of service is that. And of course, shops like Impulse is honoring their customer 1 free game for that case. The shop even told me to refund if I'm not happy, so I did what they told me to do.


I'm from penang too, therefore customer service is even more important if there's any problem. Try communicating with an unknown shop that is from KL, you will wish that you've paid that extra RM100.
I love shops like Impulse or HeavyArms because of their fast response.

Just so you know, the neon bundle is kind of special, because the separate neon joy cons colors are inverted, for those people who wants a perfect match. So unless you buy individual blue left/red right, you won't be able to buy them in packs. If you plan on collecting perfect color, the neon bundle is the best way to start since you can easily buy 2 grey down the road, but buying blue left red right will be troublesome.
