Alright, this is getting out of hand.

Remember the Qisahn's fast shipping fiasco?

They used Fedex to ship out the Nintendo Switch from Singapore to Malaysia and guess what? It got held up by Customs since this morning and I don't see any way they will be able to bring it out. Called up Fedex and they informed me that the Supplier use the wrong tariff code? This code requires electrical items to bear the SIRIM sticker.

Told them that this is a Gaming console. After referring to their import specialist, they informed me that they will submit the case with another tariff but most likely the package would have some sort of import tax to it. Asked them who is bearing the cost? The official answer was too complicated for me to understand but to boil it down, the recipient do not need to bear the cost.

It just get more and more complicated. Can't a guy just have his Switch?

Already missed the HYPE on the first day of release and now all this have to happen. Great work there! Sigh!!

What??!! Wow, just wow. Sorry to hear that bro. Lucky for me they decided to refund my pre order. But if stuck in custom because of the HS code then it will be there for at least a week if I am not mistaken. I kena before with my company's product. We brought in a control touch panel stopped in customs for about a month. Arguing about the correct HS code and also the import tax. Finally we have to send in our expert to talk to their expert and then only they release it. If not mistaken touch screen no tax touch monitor got tax or something. Then they say consumer items need SIRIM which we argued again. But not sure about FEDEX hopefully they are efficient.

for those who are new to nintendo eshop

usually canada -> provide alberta (lowest tax) has the best rate for NA games.

for instance, in usa, just dance 2017 would cost 60 usd which is around rm275 after bank conversion charge.

if your account is set canada, it would cost only 62.99 cad which is around myr 215.

for other games like zelda they are almost the same.

Why not using US 97219 Portland, Oregon? Its' tax free. I have been using this since 3DS time until now. I have linked my.nintendo account into Switch as well. Malaysia CC might not work in US eShop. However, you can just buy the eShop digital card from Amazon and top up the amount in eShop this way. It works like a charm for me quite sometime already.

edit: as for the dock, no doubt 3rd party ones will appear later in the future, bar from few chips that isn't recognized most of them can be purchase from farnell or any other shop. then figuring out which replacement can be used, design the circuitry, ordering your own pcb and viola 3rd party dock. although I doubt it will be faaar cheaper unless they don't come with the usb power adapter

This is the worse case scenario which happened to me last time when I imported my DJI Phantom. You have to bare the GST + Import Tax + SIRIM certification (the new ruling is any electrical equipment with wifi capability you need the cert). Only the lucky guy get this though thumbsup.gif
Normally, they will just let it go but.....there is always a but.

So yesterday i got that blue hori screen protector and i already destoryed it and throw in the trash lmao. Not sure how but there is so lany scratches on it and i just started playing just now. I didn't even touch the screen, also there seems to be a small pebble in the middle as wel which is driving me nuts when playing. End up just removing it totally without screen protector. What a waste of rm60 rip. Also unlike naked it doesn't attract dust, but that hori screen protector attracts everything which is shit imo. It's the blue one, wouldn't recommend getting it.

My Nintendo Switch carrying case will arrive in a few days with a screen protector so i'll live a few days without one. If this screen protector is as shit as wll, then i'll just go naked lol

Are you purchasing the "Nintendo Switch Carrying Case + Screen Protector"
Can I ask where you purchase the case? It it playasia?
Do they ship directly to Malaysia?

Thanks.

Crap man. I think it's coz the switch didn't go through SIRIM approval. Not sure how the other suppliers did it but qisahn being Singapore based probably doesn't know much abt this.

Having said that, they have shipped countless stuff over. So Ko excuse there.

I finally got my horizon game disc today. Apparently shipped 27 Feb. But according to poslaju data, only shipped yesterday la... No return address given. Only qisahn as return name and they used my address as their address... Very fishy la

They using the same sender and destination address is normal. But shipped 27/2 but received 6/3 is not. That's ridiculous! Singapore to Malaysia only... My Hong Kong parcel items are faster than that...

It's true. Not that it is caused by SIRIM or whatever, but for some reason it will stuck in kastam. 4 Amiibo also took them a week to reach for me. Why? No idea.
Previously Qisahn used to have driver to cross the border and ship from JB, next day arrive, but they are transitioning back from PlayE (actually it was playE's fault). For now this is their only shipping solution for Malaysia.

Yeah they do, just need to add rm20 for slow shipping and 40 for the fast one.

Slow one takes a while like 1 week or less. I bought quite a few Japanese games from them.

Dude... it's up to you if you wanna leave everything docked, or bring it around... i use mine primarily as a handheld. No one is also forcing you to buy powerbank. If you have one, you can prolong your use of the switch... same goes for a mobile phone, if you use it to play games 100% at Switch's graphics, I doubt you can last more than 3-4 hours at the most.

I also think you read the news wrongly on physical cards being locked to a single device... there is no such thing... unless you're talking about game saves. Buying online, yes, only one console can use it la... that one Nintendo haven't changed the policy at all... or if you think i'm wrong on the physical cards, can you provide the link that says this?

Lessons learnt from my much older PSP-3000 days, so this time I don't want to "screw up" again. Very hard lessons learnt (like battery, dents due to fall, etc. I'm not worried about scratching, but i'm worried about scratched screen!), etc etc.

And yes, I do play for long periods on the go. x_x
