Do you think it is cost effective to open a distribution center for Asia?

The gaming presence here is low.

Not enough to draw their attention

They could get Japan to distribute the Asian Edition but oh well

He came to Sydney and say the connection is bad...

In the age of digital gaming it's really sad that this is still a problem for such a big company.

We don't even need a distribution center for Asia, just allow us to purchase from their website. I still don't get the EU restriction though and what problem it will cause by allowing customer from other countries to buy from them.

I've just tried placing order on the NA SE store since mine is under NA account.

Seems like everything went smooth.
more details:
- click checkout, proceed to enter name, address etc. address still dont contain malaysia and i had to google a random US zip code to be able to proceed to next page.
- Entered credit card details, with valid address? (can't remember whether I need to enter the address) then went to next page
- sms verification code, I just entered my mobile number starting with 6017xxxxxxx, got the code and verified correctly
- final page = awaiting officers to check.

back to my NA store account detail on 'order' list, it's in there with the status pending, together with a download page and link to redeem pre-order bonus (which i can't yet, seems like the code is given to me by email if it's a successful purchase)

So, Still waiting and will post my result whether it was approve or not when i get it.

EDIT: BTW it's only the digital collector copy i ordered. Not interested in box package of CE anymore lol, old one is collecting dust somewhere lost underneath my bed maybe? haha
EDIT2: Status changed from 'pending' to 'pre-order' after a day.

Seems like NA one is ok, as far as i can tell really.

I will wait from GMG for the EU standard digital version, i got my EU FFXIV ARR from them also with discount.

first of all help us to get those items in, pre-order you want digital or box? box a bit slightly hard to get thou. for pre-order digital wait for more news.

Going for the standard edition copy, digital might do as well, just hope to get it so I can play the expansion. Previously I bought my copy from subang avenue, ck multimedia something like that, Will try to ask arround.

That time NA version that we couldn't buy iirc, but buying with our ip will get the EU version at that time.
I will keep updating here if GMG having heavensward EU in their store in the future.

Well as far as retailers, i called up Gamers hideout a few days ago and ask if they sell game time and they said they stopped letting those in and i tried Heavy arms but no luck. I had low hope that retailers will have the pre orders for Heavenward xD due to these factors. I hope we can get it soon though, i really want the damn box hahaha... And i kinda wanna know where some of you got the NA. Most places i go for this game is the EU version.

sorry to join into the late discussion. I've been playing for a while now. I bought my game from an UK website called Gamesplanet, i've asked them about Heavensward preorder and this is their reply:

"We are still waiting for the official preorder start to be announced by Square for digital distribution. They have just announced the preorder for digital partners will start soon, but there were no further details communicated so far."

I've tried to use VPN to buy from the UK SE store but to no avail. Seems like the region lock is very tight. I guess the only option now is wait for Gamesplanet or get from Qusahn...? I wonder if their version has the early access thingy... sigh

No, I don't recall local retailers getting pre-order codes.

That was from my recollection.

Maybe ask those who pre-order from Heavyarms.

If you want those pre-order items, best to order online from authorised online retailers as the codes will be distributed before hand.

The price for getting EU collector physical copy won't be cheap.
I believe that's the reason why many of our retailers pulled the handbrake.
129.99£=RM711.62 plus freight charges. ??? It'll be around 40-50£.
So total is somewhere around RM900.

Well yea.. however GBP is only applicable to London.

I was told other EU countries are being charged as €129.99 = RM515.36

Here's hoping to € and not the almighty £
