Retailers won't care.
Why I said so. Cause codes are abundant. Like yesterday, I walked into EB Games store asked why I haven't received my Kombat Pack for MKX as I preordered, immediately they just processed and got the code.

Nice being friends with staff with EB Games. Cause if they got extra codes, they can just give to friends haha!

Overseas, Early Access and all this pre-order items is just an incentive to get the game.

Retailers do not make money from pre-order but only from the games.

Let's say you get the pre-order codes, you eventually still need the game to play right?

Hence that's why giant game retailers such as EB Games, Gamestop, UK Games and GMG do not really care.


Each company has their own practice.
Not surprised Amazon JP does as such where they charge full before giving you the codes.

Regardless, what I am trying to inform, if you want to secure the pre-order goodies, best get online where pre-order items are actually listed and not local retailers as chances you won't be getting it if they do not deal properly.

Same code la. Just they give me the early access code in advance before the official launch. This was sent to them by Square Enix. I guess as what you say, different retailers have different practice.
Because as what you describe, it doesnt seems to apply in how i regular shop in amazon japan. Same goes for other japan retailers which i have dealt before with.
I just checked amazon japan, they had refilled preorders for PC - collector edition heavensward.
This time 1k yen expensive only. I bought that time is 14k ++ The one currently sold is 15kyen ++.

I think many people complained about the terrible resold price of amazon japan selling heavensward which made them refilled their supplies with much more reasonable price. I remember one of the comments warn readers not to buy it because their japan local retailer is selling much more cheaper then the online price.

Local GST is not imposed if purchased digitally or even imported physically [RM 500 and below only (include insurance, freight and etc)]
If you get custom taxed, then you get GST too

Hi sorry if I don't have the time to read through 14 pages x 20 replies each. The heavensward CE looks great, but the tiny dragon and in game digital items aren't really a deal breaker for me. So I guess I will go for the standard.

The early access is something I look forward to. My question is, assuming majority of us here started FF ARR on PS4 using a UK account, what would be the best and recommended way to get the digital version/hard copy with early access? From SE store, PSN, local vendors? Please advice. Ty.
