QUOTE(darkskies @ Apr 15 2015, 03:20 PM) Yes i pointed out that it really depends on how our local retailers deal with the actual supplier who is directly/indirect suppliers/distributors for SE. However it doesnt worked that way. Maybe it worked for you but for my side it didnt quite work out like what you said about the cancelling of preorders after you got your early preorder bonus code. If everyone start doing that, do you think they won't care about it ? Honestly, no. Retailers won't care. Why I said so. Cause codes are abundant. Like yesterday, I walked into EB Games store asked why I haven't received my Kombat Pack for MKX as I preordered, immediately they just processed and got the code. Nice being friends with staff with EB Games. Cause if they got extra codes, they can just give to friends haha! Overseas, Early Access and all this pre-order items is just an incentive to get the game. Retailers do not make money from pre-order but only from the games. Let's say you get the pre-order codes, you eventually still need the game to play right? Hence that's why giant game retailers such as EB Games, Gamestop, UK Games and GMG do not really care. QUOTE(darkskies @ Apr 15 2015, 03:20 PM) Yes, i bought games from amazon japan before and they pretty much worked that way for me. I even bought from other japan online stores . They'll only release preorder codes once they receive my payment. Each company has their own practice. My credit card balance currently do not have any amount charged under amazon japan even though i preordered heavenward on March. Early access code as what it's hinted. For early access to the new content before official date. It's distributed through your email that you made purchased from through your registered email account. Like during 2.0, i received my early access code through my email from the online japan retailer i bought from. It's 2 weeks before official start of the server. The physical copy arrived seating on my desk after 2 days later from official date. Every copy of early preordered heavensward should have early access code. I remember that it was distributed by SE themselves and forwarded to me from the online store through email first . The physical copy came along with the same early access code written on the pamphlet as what you described later. Not surprised Amazon JP does as such where they charge full before giving you the codes. I do not think the pamphlet is in game. It should be separate. If you get the codes before the game. I assume it is out of the game itself. If not you get 2 codes haha! Regardless, what I am trying to inform, if you want to secure the pre-order goodies, best get online where pre-order items are actually listed and not local retailers as chances you won't be getting it if they do not deal properly. QUOTE(kira-kun @ Apr 16 2015, 07:16 AM) Honestly, no. Same code la. Just they give me the early access code in advance before the official launch. This was sent to them by Square Enix. I guess as what you say, different retailers have different practice. Retailers won't care. Why I said so. Cause codes are abundant. Like yesterday, I walked into EB Games store asked why I haven't received my Kombat Pack for MKX as I preordered, immediately they just processed and got the code. Regardless, what I am trying to inform, if you want to secure the pre-order goodies, best get online where pre-order items are actually listed and not local retailers as chances you won't be getting it if they do not deal properly. Because as what you describe, it doesnt seems to apply in how i regular shop in amazon japan. Same goes for other japan retailers which i have dealt before with. I just checked amazon japan, they had refilled preorders for PC - collector edition heavensward. This time 1k yen expensive only. I bought that time is 14k ++ The one currently sold is 15kyen ++. I think many people complained about the terrible resold price of amazon japan selling heavensward which made them refilled their supplies with much more reasonable price. I remember one of the comments warn readers not to buy it because their japan local retailer is selling much more cheaper then the online price. |

Was a mistype hehe
What I mean the pamphlet you get from amazon.co.jp should be out the game itself. Imagine if it was in the game box. Then you get 2 different codes haha! Which is very unlikely. Hence that is why I never buy MMORPG stuff from local suppliers cause chances not getting pre-order exclusive is high. QUOTE(shojikun @ Apr 15 2015, 11:31 PM) You are right.Local GST is not imposed if purchased digitally or even imported physically [RM 500 and below only (include insurance, freight and etc)] If you get custom taxed, then you get GST too This post has been edited by kira-kun: Apr 16 2015, 09:59 AM |

Hi sorry if I don't have the time to read through 14 pages x 20 replies each. The heavensward CE looks great, but the tiny dragon and in game digital items aren't really a deal breaker for me. So I guess I will go for the standard.
The early access is something I look forward to. My question is, assuming majority of us here started FF ARR on PS4 using a UK account, what would be the best and recommended way to get the digital version/hard copy with early access? From SE store, PSN, local vendors? Please advice. Ty. This post has been edited by Poodlepaddly: Apr 16 2015, 09:46 PM |
