I would say Klang ppl more prudent in spending. Hence, high end retail not easy to survive there.

sound like all Klangites rather choose foodcourt when shopping at AEON Bukit Tinggi than the retail.. Is there any major difference in price between KL, PJ & Klang when you spending in mall?

F&B is one of the Klang attraction or at least Chinese. If it doesn't up to the taste, whether high or low end they won't survive.

i reply to all other discussions above at night but i can assure u tht pasang lang very few eat in foodcourt. The restaurants tht are crowded are Kim Gary, bbq plaza, sakae sushi, nandos, lavender, starbuck, porridge place, 4 fast food places, vivo pizza, oldtown n a few more.

High end Dragon i (once had to wait 20min) & taang shifu can be CROWDED. I prefer dining in the restorans across aeon in botanic or bbt2 n bbt1 areas when im in d area.

Klang like their food but if taste not good/positioning is wrong, wont survive.

Haze is another problem here on Bandar Puteri and along Bandar Botanic

Open burning on Jalan Kebun is the main cause every night starting from 7-8pm onwards till early morning

Pier8 will feature:
-Medium to high end F&B outlets (Example: Publikain Mont Kiara)OK if mid-high end restaurants. Will FAIL if too high end. Currently numerous premium chinese, steamboat, korean, cafe, north indian restaurants doing well but location here again.
-Seafood emporiums (Example: Unique Seafood, Red Loster, etc)[B]FAIL. If they bring in NON chinese/tai chow seafood places like led lobster or other western seafood establishments
-Medium to high end supermarket (example: Jaya Grocer, Mercato, Cold Storage)Will do WELL as spending power on grocery n food is HIGH around bbt area. AEON grocer around d same price as jaya grocer also is full while tesco n giant nearby (full too) slightly cheaper)
-Cafes & Retail outletsWill do WELL. More than 30+ cafes in botanic n bukit tinggi n some are doing VERYY WELL
-Wellness Centers (Example: True Fitness)Southeast Asias biggest Gym in bukit tinggi. Too many gymns around but gravit8 area may need 1 gym.

In your opinion. is Klang "higher market" than Cheras?   There are many well to do chinese in Cheras but Jaya Grocer cannot sustain and tapau after few years.  Only surviving is still Leisure Mall and those are definitely not Publika kinda retail outlets.   If so, not sure how Klang folks are going to sustain this mall and for how long.   Hokkien people can be very kiam siap, haha.   Sorry not being personal or racist.    I believe in Klang, only value for money retail outlets can survive.

Not sure how much % of success for Gravit8 but the location just right beside Kesas is a major plus point here and I believe WCT, Mitraland and KSL will be really banking on making this side another happening place to cater to Telok Panglima/ Jenjarom / Banting folks.
That Cheras area have wet market just further down the road and around other Taman especially OUG have morning market as well.

For Klang, you can find the nearest wet market at Port Klang or Meru and for those taman morning market is around old taman like Chi Liung, Bertek, etc and biggest is at Pandamaran. Aeon Bukit Tinggi JJ wet market have plenty of customer after office time including myself.

And lastly, more and more other dialect chinese are in Klang already unlike 10 years ago. Btw, hokkien ppl not kiam siap at all, they can spend on high end things like any ppl.

Wah, the haze condition is worst. I'm staying at Bandar Botanic (Opposite Gravit8). Evening time sure suffer, have to close all the windows and doors then switch on A/C. Then electricity bill shoot up.

Pass few days drive thru canary n parklands at night, jalan Banting... really bad.. once pass kesas reach Bukit Tinggi area then ok
