The feet is nice but the sword is awesome

there are stuff u can get cheap later, there are stuff you can't. Except you constantly observe various sales thread like stock market for cheap deal and seal it ASAP then different story. Good deal always goes off very fast!

I had read and watched quite a few reviews, Hardbone looks decent to me. It just that I am looking for more feedback on Toyworld's quality in general.

Maketoy's one would be really expensive to buy so i think i'll skip it. If not, maybe i'll just stick to MMC as they have 3-4 transformers that I really want.

if you talk about TW quality in general, people have the same comment with you, look decent and their release always make people worry, especially if you are collecting set. For time being, TW has release 2 member and doesn't seems have any news for further release other headmaster member, FPJ releases 4 member, 2 recolor and 1 in progress. MT just started with cupola aka chromedome, although price is high but at least u get a MP scale

MMC quality always ensured. It's good to stick to 1 if budget is your limit.

The reason I am thinking of Hardbone is, I still prefer the Hardbone mold compared to MK one. The huge shoulder gun is quite appealing to me. TW has 4 at the moment, Chromedrome, Hard Head, Brainstorm and Skullcrusher. I am thinking of getting 2 TW headmaster at most because I have Brainstorm Generations and I never liked Chromodrome.

MMC had been great for me so far, both Azalea and Hexatron were my favorite third party so far. MMC's Spartan, Overlord and Nova Prime is very tempting so far. As usual, no one but MMC knows when are they coming out.

Trying to limit myself to one brand, it has been tough so far.

just out of curiosity, if I were interested of buying Optimus Prime, what should I look for?

The Optimus Prime that I'm interested in is the G1, which in the late 1980s I had one but didn't bother for it along with other of my toys. Back then the only one I would 'sayang' was Liano, coz he so macho and cool. I also had the PowerMaster Optimus Prime which I hate because all was plastic and not metal like my previous Optimus.

So now, to relived my boyhood memories, I decided to get some of the memorable figurine starting with Optimus. I looked at the first page of this thread, and also went to ebay.

Of course getting a 1980s Hasbro one is out of the question (Not gonna spulrge that kinda money on just OP, better get Gibson Les Paul Custom )

But I did find a couple of sellers on the bay, selling what looks like the same packaging and content but not from Hasbro. And its cheaper, my question is;

-is it ok to get those?
-what are they? Licensed copy? Unlicensed? Fake? China atempt of faking OP?
-is it ok to buy a non-Hasbro figurines in terms of Transformers?

1) Is it from Takara perhaps? Takara is the Japanese co-license holder for Transformers. Anything from Takara or Hasbro is ori.

2) How nostalgic do you want to be? What about a modernized version of G1 Prime that looks just like the cartoon? Check out Optimus Prime Masterpiece (MP10). He's widely regarded as the best G1 Prime available today:



3) If you're looking for a representation of G1 Prime, in my opinion there are no unlicensed/third party figures worth getting. Best bet is either MP10 or a reissue of the original G1 toy.
