Is very very sad to know that although Wave 2 has hit Malaysian shores but most of these hobby shops are only willing all of them in sets rather than individually.

The Deluxes are going for RM70.00 each so for Superion, there are 4 limbs so RM280.00.

Voyager if i'm not mistaken is RM110.00.

So, the entire Superion should costs about RM390.00.

Most people who are selling off their Superion is because they wanted the Takara version so if you got an offer around the region of RM390.00, it should be a good deal. Who knows, you may be able to pressure them to reduce the price abit.

is the Takara's Superion still open for pre-order? If yes, might as well get that. The paintjob is much more accurate to the G1 homage and it has Slingshot instead of Alpha Bravo, although Alpha Bravo is a very nice transformer in itself.

however, if you chose to have the Hasbro version then it is also fine because Hasbro will release Quickslinger (their version of Slingshot), so you can buy it when it releases.

so, it's entirely up to you whether you want a Slingshot now or a Slingshot later.

Alpha Bravo is a good figure but if you are buying Defensor then there's no need for Alpha Bravo because Blades is a repainted Alpha Bravo.

there are many hobby shops around town offered PO for this but i'm not sure if they still accept orders or not since the delivery date is end of July 2015 so they may have stop taking orders. you need to check.

just to name a few, 1TOY, vHobby, Famitoy etc. I've experienced buying before from 1TOY and vHobby and they are genuine. Another one is x2otoys, they are based on Perak and I'm in Selangor so i ordered stuff online from them. I purchased my MP10 them and all i can say is that they are good at what they are doing, price is also reasonable.

different schools of thought. some prefer old school and some don't mind the new alternatives. i for one, belongs to the old school and would prefer Slingshot rather than Alpha Bravo and lucky for me, Hasbro is releasing Quickslinger (aka Slingshot) which I will definitely grab. Alpha Bravo will be a stand alone figure cause he is cool like that 8)

many G1 purist hated the fact that Superion was released with Alpha Bravo but most of them actually enjoyed Alpha Bravo very much after actually purchasing him because of how good it was made. the irony is that how can a helicopter keep up with jets in terms of speed. it doesn't look good as a team and if you put logic into it, Alpha Bravo will also arrive late at the battle ground or the Aerialbots would pull off the Protectobots stunt, merge without First Aid.

but then again, there is no inherent logic in Transformers XD

x2otoys has updated their website, the price is confirmed at RM430.00 so if anyone still managed to secure RM350+ish, must take it without consideration.

yeap, the reboot version of Wave 1 is unlikely to happen in Malaysia but never say never. then again, no one would be in their right mind spent money to buy another set of Superion.

don't know where you get your source of pictures from. the only apparent "kangkang" is on Menasor and that can be easily fixed by adjusting the hip joint. Superion just have thin thighs.

if you see Defensor and Devastator as "kangkang" then i don't think it's the figure that's the problem

The risk is also quite minimal, ebay's buyer protection + paypal 180 days buyer protection.

i might be trying, since it's only RM140.00, if rugi also RM140.00 only, if seller is a scammer, ebay protection + paypal is sufficient insurance.

after purchase if good, resell = profit :haha:

I tried to purchase the item however it went out of stock =( the last person who bought it (according to the list), bought 8 -.-

BUT.................... checked again today and found out that:-

1) ebay user is NO LONGER a registered user; and
2) item is no longer listed for sale.

Latest news, apparently, it is quite "proven" that the seller is a fraudster. All of his listings has been removed and his account has been deleted by eBay. Paypal has also confirmed that all buyers submitted claims for a refund but they cannot proceed any further because in their record, the seller has updated the system with "tracking code" which upon verification, appears to be invalid =O

It's not done unintentionally, it gives a visual impression to people that the figures are bulky. Combiners are supposed to look tough, so they need to appear "strengthy" (if that's even a word ).

No one likes an agility bodied combiner.

we cannot compare the actual toy figure with what's illustrated in the comics because the mechanics are simply different. in the comics, the length and size of each individual bots can be altered figuratively to the convenience of the drawer BUT same cannot be done to the actual figures. i don't think it's a poor design just maybe Hasbro is restricted in resources to actually invest in time and money to make sure every stage of transformation is perfect to the eye.

plus, we need to consider that Hasbro is not churning out one combiner at a time, it's multiple combiners at one time so i think Hasbro has done quite an impressive job in the combiner wars line.

it's really unfair to compare it with 3rd parties.


if you want a good looking figure to display, by all means spending thousands and get 3rd parties but if you want a toy which is fun to play with (transformation), get Hasbro. trust me, 3rd parties may look good but a pain in the ass when it comes to transformation. my green giant has been siting in the shelves for so long I don't remember when i last transformed it.

my only nitpick with the Hasbro's combiner wars is with the hands and feet, the lack of articulation bothers me but doesn't irritate but then again, these can be fixed with 3rd party add ons (ie. perfect effect)

You seem to suggest that I'm contradicting myself in my statement which i disagree.

My first reply was to your statement that the combiners appeared to resemble "gorillas", thus I assumed that you were complaining about the bulk size of it but then after reading your second statement, I'm thinking that maybe you are referring to the arm's length which extends all the way to the knee joints hence giving them that "ape-like" appearance which is why i replied to you regarding the mechanics.

I'm sure Hasbro finds the actual combiners wanting for something and I'm sure they still think the illustration in the comics are better but like i said, "restrictions" will not help them achieve what they wanted to achieve. So, it's the matter of Hasbro following the comic rather than the other way around.

Wow! Seems like you've been through the Transformers franchise since they were released. Care to show me which combiners Hasbro has released that in your opinion is better than the current combiner wars line? I just started collecting the toys as of late 2011 so have no idea of its predecessors.

i'm actually not really bothered with the "see-saw" joints, it's more to "nit-pick" issue to me since it will end up as a limb anyway.

yeah, United Warriors are more G1 accurate but it's not so much of a "random" character since Hasbro based them in their IDW continuity but i have to admit, Takara's release is better than Hasbro, not in terms of quality but probably accuracy.

one more thing that I like about Takara is that they release the entire combiner in one set, definitely beats what Hasbro is doing with their line (releasing by wave) which is really troublesome. Up until now, i think most stores still doesn't have the Wave 2 yet.

I'm now waiting for Takara to announce their Defensor and Devastator.

almost bite the bait but I will wait for Takara's release cause usually Takara will worth the wait.
