i don't have 3rd party Devastator as well but I think this should toppled 3rd parties slightly more in terms of height? From youtube if you find "Dan & Pixel", there is a thorough interview with the Hasbro designer in respect of the Devastator and from there you can see, this thing is huge. Some contemplated that it stands just slightly lower then Metroplex and we all know Metroplex is seriously huge. Both Metroplex and Devastator is in the "Titan Class" so expect very little difference between them.

My only worry now if it could sit well in my Detolf shelf without remove a glass partition =O

so far, what TakTom has done to its Unite Warriors line is putting back in the original G1 combiner members instead of giving in to the IDW counterparts, hits and misses but since Hasbro's Devastator has no IDW influence (Prowl's head, thank gawd!) so there will be no changes in members as far as I am concern UNLESS they decided to to swap out the retarded Mixmaster and put in the real Mixmaster with the original orientation (which i really hope they do but unlikely).

color wise, TakTom has only impressed me on what they did with Superion. Menasor is *meh*.

i'm not expecting much difference between TakTom and Hasbro's Devastator but still, I'd like to see it before making hasty decisions XD

Sin7 The only figures I have now is comparing the Hasbro Superion/Menasor with TakTom's Superion/Menasor and if you put it on paper, TakTom seems to be a little cheaper.

The calculation is as follows:-

(Toy Shops)
Hasbro Deluxe : RM70.00 each
Hasbro Voyager : RM120.00 each

So:
[4 x RM70.00] + [1 x RM120.00]
= RM400.00

A complete set of combiner costs RM400.00 for Hasbro.

TakTom's Unite Warriors costs about RM350.00 for complete set but probably because of pre-order perks. Retail price is about the same as Hasbro.

If you intend to pick them up from ToysRus then it will be way more expensive because they retail their deluxes at RM79.00 each and voyager at RM149.00 each?

So, I am expecting that TakTom's Devastator may be a tad cheaper than RM680.00, maybe RM650.00 but with better paint job application.

One more factor to consider is that the waiting period for TakTom is longer. Hasbro's Devastator is expected ready for delivery in June/July. I'm expecting TakTom's to be about 3 months later?

Those are stress marks mate, it makes the connection weaker.

I doubt there's anyway to fix it just be careful otherwise you will risk breaking it off entirely.

Takara's teaser image of Devastator. Apart from the obvious "purple hand repaint", i can't hardly see what other paint apps they are going to apply on the their version of Devastator to differentiate it with the Hasbro's one.

I was expecting that they teased us with the Defensor first but I guess it cannot be helped since they are most probably scratching their head what to do with "Groove"

I saw the review of Defensor from Optibotimus on youtube and apparently, Streetwise was off-white even in the original G1 toy released years back then so i guess, not much of a complain here though but of course, aesthetically it does throw Defensor off slightly but I don't think it worries me much.

Nonetheless, I am also waiting for TakTom's take on Defensor purely on 2 reasons:-
1) wonder if they will replace Rook (since TakTom's release thus far keeps the original members intact); and
2) to see if they will give Defensor's torso more colors to throw off that "pure black" appearance.

Star Saber was a character from Transformers: Masterforce right? My Transformers era ended after G1 ended. It didn't follow through thereafter. Somehow, the "Masterforce" concept did not catch up to me =/

these figurines prices shot up right after the PO. The Titan Devastator will costs close to RM800.00 after the PO period XP

on the bright side, it will look the same 10 years later because it has already "gone through" the aging process XD but i somehow think the "off-white" is purposely employed on since Hasbro co-designed these CW figures with TakTom so it could it be part of the "deal" that these difference be apparent otherwise no one would buy TakTom's rendition.

to be honest, i'm not bothered with the scale issue here since Hasbro already fugged them up since Superion anyway. Plus, it's a toy, nothing should make sense unless you're talking about Bayverse then yes, everything should scale up nicely but certainly for the sake of accuracy, throw me an oversized motorcycle and I'll take it from them XD

those additional feet/hands are from Perfect Effect if I am not mistaken but I have no idea why the left hand appears to be "malnourished"

I think the CW Devastator is not as bad what people are saying. Sure, of course if you compare it with 3rd parties then this CW Devastator looks kiddie but hey, it's the closest and cheapest official product you can get and it's not really THAT bad.

Sources quoted the CW Devy will be at approximately 18", so that's that but I get the point why Hasbro wanted the Devy to be that friggin' huge. It's like one of the most well known and celebrated decepticon combiner.

Actually, there's a hack you can do to your Detolf shelves. Four wire clips and you on your way. Adjustable glass layers.
