it's easier to just grab sata3 drives. sata3 drives are usually sata2 backward compatible.

Guy,I'm looking for a 120GB SSD within the budget of RM200. Saw some Kingston v300 on the cheap at Lazada.

My concern would be reliability in terms of not breaking down. Don't mind the minimal speed difference since I'm coming from Normal Sata HDD. So looking to use this 120gb SSD on my laptop storing Windows 7 and Programs. Media would be on External HDD.

Hope you guys could suggest me suitable brand within the price range.

Hi guys, I am deciding between the Kingston HyperX Savage and also Samsung 850 Evo. Which one is better?

value/mainstream ssds at 120gb range should be a bit higher than MYR 200. have you checked out the garage sales section and price lists from major shops in lyp? try compare them and see if you have any options instead of kingston v300.

Try going for the HyperX Fury one since it is the latest model from Kingston.

kingston v300 should be ok for common usage. however i just wonder if there are other choices for you.

oh if the price of kingston fury is close to v300's price, it might be an option.
