Hi everyone there is a question i need to ask right here.
I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2009 model and I'm looking forward to upgrade from a normal HDD to a SSD.
Is there any recommendations that i could look out for ?
I get a lot of people telling me to get the Samsung 850 Evo and some told me to get the Crucial MX200. Is it necessary to get the more expensive SSD ? Because no one actually recommended me a cheaper option.
Will be looking forward to read from this thread soon biggrin.gif

Thanks for the replies

will take that into consideration as i have just found out that the crucial mx200 have that rain technology that does data protection thingy which i would find it useful for i use my mac for my work. does the samsung have that kind of thing too ?

after knowing that im actually leaning more towards getting a crucial mx200

Looked like sata ii speed to me. Which model is this mac? Maybe you need to connect the ssd to sata iii port to get the full speed.

it's easier to just grab sata3 drives. sata3 drives are usually sata2 backward compatible.

ahh ok thanks for the advice
