3 days. No need.  Why should we pay for it?? flex.gif
P.S./ If you buy on 11Street on Tuesday, got another RM100 voucher if you grab & buy it on Tuesday for items price >1500.

By right we have to pay SIRIM because all electronics imported will need SIRIM approval, which RM100 up to 3 items.
You didnt pay for it, or rather didnt kena, was due to luck, kastam didnt hold your item and charge you.

I believe is price high. Android already in level to premium. Andriod own product shall be in premium level not cheap thing as Android already got entry level call andriod one.

Is time Android release a premium level product.
*
Huawei Watch, LG Urbane LTE 2nd edition not premium enough ? cry.gif IMO these's price are little too much for extension to our smartphone.

Was hoping we could finally have SOC that's design for smartwatch, which I hope not only extend battery life but also bring down price.

i thought huawei watch is sold more expensive than moto 360 gen 2 a lot?

Retail price, Huawei watch slightly more expensive, but slightly better as well. Both should able to get heavy discount now from online retailer like Lazada/GemFive.

I would opt for round ones, but is it worth getting one? Sounds like it would obsolete over time though .. with new ones coming out ..
*
Depend on price. Huawei Watch are quite quality product IMO, looks good, performance and all are worthy of the price.

With more budget, get Huawei Watch.
With limited budget, I think Zen Watch 2 are nice but square display.
Or just wait that newly announced ZenWatch 3,really tempting one. Lower price ( RM1000 if direct convert ), latest Qualcomm SoC that's designed for smartwatch.

Depends on what you are looking for, iirc Asus ZW3 don't have heart rate monitor, and the bands seems to propitiatory (not standard 22mm band), but I can see a better battery life due to the special Snapdragon SoC for wearables being used, and high screen definition too, if I am not mistaken.

But usually OEM will produce new products which is better than the previous one...so not surprisingly if its better than the Huawei one.
*
The announcement doesnt impress me ( except the price and fast charging ). Was excited for the wearable SoC but given that Asus still rate the usage about two days, which are basically all modern Android Wear's typical usage, I'm disappointed.

saw news that xiaomi recently announce its smartwatch, called amazfit
seems not bad
*
Depends on what kind of functions you want, I personally dont recommend those own OS/design type, as the chances of success are really low. So it is possible you buy it and they drop the product line next year whistling.gif

QUOTE(Alan Yee @ Sep 5 2016, 10:11 PM)
Out of all smartwatch out there, Pebble Time has the most uninspiring look, much thicker bezel and very small screen, low quality rubber strap, and dimmest and unattractive screen out there.
Maybe now is at night, so all it's screen weakness is shown.
It's true strength of it's screen is it can be viewed at direct sunlight, like the screen of Gameboy Color.
Going to change it's rubber strap to milanese strap soon as it is the same size as Zenwatch 2.
It's battery life should be it's another strength.
However, using button to operate it seems awkward too, it's 4 big plastic button is not that tactile/clicky either.
All in all, it feel like a retro watch toy rather than a proper smartwatch.
Highest recommendation still go to Zenwatch 2, or the 1st gen LG Urbane, which has been lowered the price. 1st gen Moto 360 also is worth to buy.
Bought this Pebble Time around RM430.

I heard battery life not so 'pebble'-ish already, some said 2-3 days.

totally agreed.
my zenwatch 2 last me 1 and a half day max. but I dont like the feeling of charging my watch everyday and worry about  the battery life. thus i sold it off
*
Personally I dont get the point of complaining charging daily, we did that with our smartphone ( mostly more than once per day ).
My Huawei watch can easily last 2 days although I charge daily ( still 60% left at night ).

Yeah it may be but if you're someone who is coming from the perspective of watch wearer it gives less secure feeling.  Even though you can argue that is the same.
In addition better battery life means the watch can be used for a longer time.  In term of years. Since you charge less battery degrade a bit slower.  Unlike smartphone batteries which can be replaced by diy or at shop.  Unless you are the type who keep buying new smartwatch.

And the need for propriety cable except sony sw3.  Which you need to bring anywhere if you travel a lot. More cable to bring.  Usually they gives only one cable or dock in the package. Sometime you even have to bring the whole charging dock.  So smartwatch is less mobile than smartphone on this facet.
*
You have point there, but for me smartwatch are like smartphone/gadget, you keep swapping. I dont see myself using same smartwatch for more than 2 years biggrin.gif so battery degradation are never concern for me since modern battery doesnt degrade that fast.

Charging cable indeed are headache. Less issue when I have moto 360 1st gen, as the charging cradle compatible with micro-USB cable, but current Huawei watch use proprietary type, means the whole cradle and cable need to carry together when travelling.

Oo, Urbane cradle also using micro-usb, I wonder why didn't Huawei opted for that option.

Sometimes they are just ambitious or greedy, lock you into original accessory.

recently was started to explore on smart watch.. and get to know that zenwatch 3 is going to release soon..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpb4RkJ8lMw

i visited to huawei watch, and found their display unit, the screen is not as vivid as i expected.. the salesperson said there are some failure on screen brightness and etc... i was thinking 1.6k++ watch doesn't last less than 2 years?
confused.gif

may i know smart watch also have offer extended warranty? i dun wish to buy a smart watch only last less than 3-4 years
*
First time I heard it, maybe because the display unit are suffer from burn-in ( typical on AMOLED display ). Mine was good and vivid, compare side by side to Moto 360 1st gen.
One of the reason I prefer digital watch face was to prevent burn in, also easier to read time.

Android Wear does that. I tried once, it's awkward biggrin.gif to have my watch near my ear ( huawei watch with speaker )
