I, personally never like Fossil watches.... probably because they are the real traditional watch maker.
Not very fond of fossil design,i dono why but it just me.
But, i hope any new breakthru/new things, will spurs the industry into new height.
Maybe the much awaited Google Watch will be tempting hehe.
*
I was underestimated them before as well, but now knowing they own/licenses many many brand ( Misfit, Skagen, Armani, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade ), and thus many AW are actually under Fossil or using their tech/design.

Above those brand's AW actually not too bad, and keep releasing newer gen product. While those 'technology' brand like Motorola, LG those already stop release newer AW.

Google's own AW might be coming, based on speculated leak.
Google traditionally use fish name for their device, medaka ( tiny fish ) just found in AOSP summit with attachment to Wear OS team biggrin.gif

I wish Google spend more resource to optimize Wear OS, after so many years, still practically one day battery life ( I can last 2 days if only sync less than 12 hours per day )

ouh damn. haha i dont think i can live with one day battery life on watches. now u are using which watch sir?
*
I've used few AW watches, since 1st gen product.
Currently still owning ticwatch e and fossil Q explorist, ticwatch did have longer battery life nearly 2 days due to less powerful internal.
Overall I think no difference, whether 1day / 1.5days / near-2days, because you'll definitely charge it at the end of the day.

Guys.

If some one is looking to buy TicWatch range, here is USD$50 Discount Code to use.
You can get it via their website mobvoi.com

TicWatch's design still rocks, frankly.

If you have been waiting to get a Ticwatch, now is the time.
*
Hehe did the survey biggrin.gif
I almost trigger for TicWatch Pro ( become ~210USD ) but I still like my current one so skip for now.

i think the question of the glass itself is, how hard and durable it is? If the knock is hard or the watch drop or something, it break instantly, i think its common. the issue is, one fine morning, i was about wearing it and saw the crack line. i tot my eyes were blur.. haha..

damn I would suspect the watch casing squeezed it ( repeated daily over hot/cold temperature ) till the glass break.

thanks bro.yeah but heard that fossil battery doesnt last long.

I'm using 4th gen Fossil AW, no issue on battery. I dont think there's significant difference between most AW, they have similar SOC and relatively small battery. Fossil group owns many many watch brand ( or licensed to make watch for them ), so internally similar.
What I notice that got difference are mediatek SOC have better battery life, but can notice lower performance.

I see...thank you for info however upon comparing price between GT2 and fossil. Quite alot of difference there..huhu
*
GT2 is not Android Wear. Not saying I support AW exclusively, but mostly I 'trust' it better for software. There's possibility I'll move away and test other smartwatches, as I mostly bought smartwatches ( so far all AW ) for aesthetic/looks and notification only.

but i online check it said 1 day battery life only

Well that's almost accurate, most AW only last 8-10 hours in real life. One day battery life is normal.

That one, fake smart type can la, those fitting tracking, tiny screen.

I dont have issue with one day battery life smartwatches, did you charge your phone everyday, did you charge your laptop everyday, so why not another gadget tongue.gif

what are the advantages of using AW based smartwatch compared to magic watch 2/GT 2
*
better apps support, better notification, better function ( reply, voice support etc ? ), better OS update.

With more power ( functionality ), use more power ( energy ) biggrin.gif

I want to ask, do u feel tht ur fossil gen 4 watch is sluggish n slow? If yes, how bad isit? Or is it just minor lags? Cuz ive heard alot complains bout the 2100 processor in 2020
*
I bought 3rd gen at end of 2018 biggrin.gif same Qualcomm 2100 with gen 4
Cant sure how much improvement on gen 5, as it's using new gen Qualcomm SOC.

I might be bias/unjustifiable, as I use Google Android's smartwatch since 1st gen ( Moto 360, Asus zenwatch, Mobvoit ticwatch E, Fossil Q explorist )
Definitely not in 'totally smooth' category. Super smooth when notification come in etc, but when you go and swipe/touch/control it, can feel the sluggish.

Oh I see..thank you apart from Fossil what else using AW which has similar price ranges to Magic Watch 2/GT2  icon_question.gif

Mobvoi ticwatch arent bad, I bought during kickstarter campaign, they have few successful project and several generation/model of AW product already.
Their latest Ticwatch Pro looks good ( muscular large ), dual mode display for up-to-30-days battery life. My two AW upgrade choice will be Ticwatch Pro and Fossil gen 5.

Another recommendation from above post, Skagen Falster 3 is good looking choice.

Not easy to recommend AW anymore, lesser choice with more manufacturer left. Half-ass effort from Google, half-ass effort from SOC, near-non-existence sales.
Apple single-handed ( 50% market share ) defeat all non-Apple smartwatches/fitness type combined laugh.gif

IMO, somehow price reflect product quality. Those over rm1k smartwatches ( TicWatch Pro, Galaxy Watch, Fossil, Apple ) have good review from website.
