Yes. The battery drain of Lollipop when standby is worst the KK and even no need to compare with iphone6. Samsung need to do something on it. I have done the factory reset although the battery drain is slightly better but it is still worst than KK. However, it is really yet to conclusion as I suspect one apps is draining the battery when idling. I will try to uninstall one comic apps and continue monitor it.

The facebook apps has been diasabled and facebook messanger is not installed. So i think these two apps are not the one draining battery.

wanna ask for lollipop, does it have the issue for media scan? cause at kitkat, the media scan is killing me, cause it cause my sd card to heat up and the camera to always hang and eat battery. i have tons of pictures and media in my sd card and it is 128 gb some more...

actually right, media scan has to happen, unless you go put a .nomedia file in the root of your sdcard, but if you do that your apps cant see they contents of ur sdcard...so best to wait for it to finish


BUT, if it is taking an outrageously long time to complete, a reboot *usually* fixes it(at least for me), but some ppl here have experienced some crazy long media scanning because of PDFs files in their sdcard, like joytest for example.


Maybe you could try taking out PDFs from your sdcard, let the media scan complete, THEN copy the PDFs back? Im not sure if it will help but its worth trying~

I was using 128gb Sdisk ext sdcard on ex Note4 too n never had media scan issues. The scanning is very fast n occur once only when you put in the card. Scanning is very fast probably completed within a minute only. I had 80 gb video , 10gb photos n 10 the media files
Most probably a lot of your files in ext card is corrupted already causing this scanning issues. Definitely is not due to rom

Prob with nova launcher is the notification bubble. Or any other launcher for that matter. Thats why i still use touchwiz
