I think i will be staying with 4.4.4 till 5.1 or note 5 is released. 5.0.2 doesnt seem to be a good release, unless of course they fix the damn recents app button. Thats the only thing i want them to fix, i require nothing else lol

Those facing network issues can easily identify whether is telco related. Just get a prepaid simcard from another telco ( it cost less than RM 10) to test it out. If you still faced signal problems on the other telcos, than better send in unit to service center to check
Personally I always discourage from using Digi which has the worst signals in my 15 years experience using smartphones. I gave up on Digi few years ago. Especially if you want LTE , they only cover 2600 Mhz while Celcom, Maxis supports both 1800, 2600 Mhz. Using LTE on Note 4 means you are being handicap already since the phone supports 2 bands 1800, 2600 Mhz
Personally I had never any signal issues on Maxis and Celcom on this phone or any other Android phone

after root & trip knox, still can claim waranty with unroot?
*
Unroot will never remove Knox triggered
Whether you can claim depends on your luck
However I had successfully claim USB port on ex Note 3 with Knox triggered. Apparently the tech never bother about Knox in my case. I made the claim at LowYat service center

No sudden drop call problem too

If waze update their app it will be fixed. G3 also having this issue on lollipop so I dont think its lollipop issue instead its a compatibility issue. Battery is better but not much. About 30-45 minutes SOT more. Of course perform a clean upgrade is the best. If you perform dirty upgrade diff users may have diff problems.

Could not take the freezing and stuttering on games on KitKat thats why upgrade to lollipop. Smoothie. Lollipop also supports 64 bits whereby kitkat doesnt.

So many reasons to go to lollipop smile.gif If u use waze as your bread and butter and cannot use the alternative google maps then u have to stay on kitkat till waze gives a hotfix on this
*
Waze working very well on my Nexus 6 ( lollipop 5.01, 5.02 n 5.1 on all official n custom rom)
So I dont think is app issue

Why use KIES n I always say is Samsung worst sync software compared to other makes such as Sony, HTC, Huawei etc
Download the firmware from sammobile n use Odin to flash is easier
I had given up on using Kies years ago

For those who update to a foreign country firmware be beware officially service center will void warranty. It is your luck if it is accepted. This info only for those who are very very worried about warranty issues
Personally I never bother n will always update to latest firmware from whatever country is available.

We got ourself a note 4 about a week ago.

The camera images (indoor) are very bad (fake) compared to note 2 and HTC M7. Feel like thrse images were processed by armature P'S.

Anyone has the same issue?
*
I would say you are one of the rare users complaining about Note 4 camera !!
I am not a camera shot expert but based on all the high specs phone I had used I'd say Note4 camera is the best even better than my over rated ex ip6+

U sold ur ip6p? Tot u keeping that n Mate7

After a month of solid using the ip6+ trying to use as a daily driver I decided to give up. Its restrictive file system was simply disappointing making the phone a simply unproductive and inefficient tool. I email lots of attachments and often shared stuffs from FB, Tweeter, Newsfeed and the iP6+ was just a disappointment. Other than these weakness the ip6+ is a great phone for those users who doesn't need to do such stuffS regularly. At the end I gave it away as a gift to my relative son as a reward for his excellent exam results

I doubt most of them know anything about flashing foreign country fw anyway  thumbup.gif

Depends on your luck claiming warranty. If your phone lands in one of the more knowledgeable technician than he might reject it
People always say rooted phones will void warranty . But my experience in claiming rooted phones cum flashed with foreign country rom has always been successful, 6 times in past 8 years. Once a tablet even booting up with yellow triangle !! There are also many cases many users cannot claim with rooted and they lament in the various threads here
Another often quoted is with Knox triggered phones are out of warranty. But I had yet to hear of anyone failing to claim with knox triggered. Personally I had successfully claim on USB port on ex Note3 with Knox triggered
So I would just say claiming warranty depends on one luck. For users who are very concerned with warranty don't even bother to root or even flash foreign country firmware

hello sifus.. need your help.. i wanna ask what should i do to get the official update to lollipop. as before this i have rooted the phone and also flash twrp recovery. i read from some blog, if i have already flash twrp recovery, i cannot use the "restore to factory settings" method, or not i will brick my phone upon installing. is that true? if yes, any way for me to do it?
*
Easiest just use Odin to flash downloaded firmware n it will auto replace TWRP n unroot phone. You cannot had OTA update with custom recovery on
Restore to factory settings will not remove TWRP n will not ever brick your phone.
If the download version of lollipop is not available yet than just flash latest 4.4.4 version with Odin n followup with OTA update

i check my original firmware is n910g, anj3. must i flash with exactly the same one or any other firmware like n910f or others will do?
*
Any Msian firmware is good enough
Try flash latest so that you need update once only
If older firmware it is possible you might be prompted to upgrade progressively. Happened to me before on older Samsung phones n not too sure on Note4
Or use odin flash stock recovery . Try look for it at XDA to see whether available or not

my phone is actually singapore set. qualcomm version. so i'm worried if i get the wrong rom...
*
How can you get wrong rom ?? Check up Spore version only at Sammobile.com
You definitely cannot use Msian version as is Exymos chip unlike Spore SDragon
You can safely flash other country SD rom if you so wish

oh you mean just go ahead with any roms but must based on samsung stock rom? means i also can get lollipop, get any lollipop rom from the link you gave me but must based on samsung stock rom right?
*
You wont be able to get any OTA update even with Samsung customize rom. Simple reason - your stock recovery no longer there
I had never bother with OTA n will always flash downloaded firmware from sammobile even if is from different country. Just make sure you choose correct chip version.

Sam mobile used to be good but these days the download speed is dammmnn slow!

are you able to get the premium link working?
*
I dont have such issues of downloading. In worst scenario I used my phone data to download which is way much faster than my miserably slow P1 home network. My phone LTE speeds is at least 10-15X faster. My data plan is large enough to accommodate . Infact I used my phone data to download all firmware usually

hahaha sorry i blur case....

wanna ask for lollipop, does it have the issue for media scan? cause at kitkat, the media scan is killing me, cause it cause my sd card to heat up and the camera to always hang and eat battery. i have tons of pictures and media in my sd card and it is 128 gb some more...
*
I was using 128gb Sdisk ext sdcard on ex Note4 too n never had media scan issues. The scanning is very fast n occur once only when you put in the card. Scanning is very fast probably completed within a minute only. I had 80 gb video , 10gb photos n 10 the media files
Most probably a lot of your files in ext card is corrupted already causing this scanning issues. Definitely is not due to rom

i am torn between rooting or not all the time cause of the warranty. If your note 4 suddenly need repair what are you going to do? flash back to any stock fw?  hmm.gif
*
Depends on your luck
Personally I had successfully claim warranty from Samsung 6 times in past 8 years. In all cases my phones/tablets were always rooted but in stock rom. My last Note 3 even with KNox triggered was also claim FOC without any issues
However I do read of few users failing to claim due to rooted phone
If warranty concerns you, just don't root
