Hotspot will make phone really hot. And also if you flash it to factory condition then the phone will perform the indexing which will make the phone not only really hot but the battery drain is very high. If you have many files in SD card then phone will continue such condition till the indexing finished before back to normal. You have to leave it as it is till the completion of indexing complete.

Maybe Samsung should just skip 5.0.1 and straight let note 4 update to 5.1.....

May be Samsung just ignore Note4 users and target on Note5 and launch Lollipop in Note5. Already close to 1/2year since it launch the Note4 but without Lollipop.

Sorry Samsung....you are almost there to give us the Lollipop...BUT my final decision is that I will not buy your Note 5 or Note 6 or whatever so in the future as totally dissapointed. Being a flagship product but totally shameful that it is yet seeing Lollipop upgrade for this so called FLAGSHIP in Malaysia which is one of biggest market for you in Asean! Being a hardcore supporter of Note series from Note 1 till Note 4, the best Note is Note 3. I love my Note3 a lot still till today. You screw the Note 4 indeed this time.

The Lollipop is running extremely smooth... so called butter smooth project. It is extremely fast to change page but not scrolling. So far the interface is a bit odd to me as too many white color theme bar or header bar and white keyboard. New trend? But not my cup of coffee.

Obviously the Waze has problem as reported by other user. For me not a big deal as the problem eventually will be resolved via update either Samsung or Waze itself. As long as the Waze can tell command.

Battery life should be lower as not feeling drastic change in battery level.

The excitement just come back after updated the Note4 to Lollipop but feeling is a bit lost as waiting for Fxxking so long more than 5months before upgrade. Note4 should be loaded with Lollipop when first launched.

For those who had upgraded to Lollipop 5.0.1, did you all installed Android Auto? Understand this feature able to mirror your Android phone to your car system by using MHL cable.

After seeing so many posts on L5, im not sure whether to update OTA or not. sad.gif

Just go ahead to update. The bug and and slightly bad battery life are very minor matters if compare with much smoother UI. Really enjoy the butter smooth performance.

Yes. The battery drain of Lollipop when standby is worst the KK and even no need to compare with iphone6. Samsung need to do something on it. I have done the factory reset although the battery drain is slightly better but it is still worst than KK. However, it is really yet to conclusion as I suspect one apps is draining the battery when idling. I will try to uninstall one comic apps and continue monitor it.

Try to check for Facebook app. Consumed higher memory.
*
The facebook apps has been diasabled and facebook messanger is not installed. So i think these two apps are not the one draining battery.

did anyone feel that chrome is lagging in note 4, or the apps really sucks ?

when i scroll down the page, it lag
*
Yes. Chrome is lag a bit. I changed from stock web to Chrome now to test it out which will drain more battery. Obviously the stock web in Lollipop is draining more battery than the one in KK.

Can use Google Maps at the moment while waiting Waze to update.
*
I am still using the Waze although the graphic is "broken". As long as the Waze still can give voice command then it is still useable.
