Big amount u pay on normal sc?
*
hmm.gif Amount is not the issue here I guess. doh.gif
just like what he mentioned "basically, I wasted some extra money on paying more for service charges (should be Sales Charges) when I could have just opened 3 beneficiary accounts to save".
Just that he feels that his Money are not well maximized efficiently?

hmm.gif maybe you just wanted to know (just like what you asked), "HOW much is the amount that he paid on normal SC"? ...... tongue.gif biggrin.gif

I dont have EI EPF funds, but I invest in other fund via EPF from FSM. Normal sc is 2.0%. When got promotion, they will honor promotional rates if you happened to submit all related documents to them during the promotional period.

Thanks.

Ive got a friend who wants to invest RM5K in FSM. It will be his first time. Which 2-3 funds should he focus on? Don't think he wants to take too much risk. But he is interested in the current China rally. How long do we anticipate the rally by KGF and Eastspring Small Cap will continue?

If he can't take much risk, China is out of scope.

Avoid small cap too.

Propose to take on Ponzi 2.0 and KGF. KGF is still winner for medium term.

What is Risk in Investing?
The attached note takes a look at what risk is when it comes to investing.

Wrapping up
The bottom line is that risk can mean different things – volatility, the risk of capital loss, the risk of not having enough income from your investment and the risk of not having enough in retirement.
Each of these risks can be of greater or lesser importance depending on your stage in life, how much capital you have and your tolerance for risk.
What’s more risk is perverse. The risk of capital loss is often highest when you think it is low (ie after good times) and lowest when you think it is high (ie after a bad patch).
Trying to get a handle on this is critical to being a successful investor.

just came back from switching my PIDF to PAIF...now will have 2% less MY focus and into more Asia....
next on my slash lists is OSK Emerging Opp.....

rearranged my PM portfolio
PIDF, PSTSCF, PRS, PCIF to PGSF, PAIF, PSEASF
from 22% china and 75% MY to Global 50%, Asia 35% and Asean 12%.

with this,...I hope finally will have 1 less portfolio to worry about for the next 1~2 year.

Warren Buffett's definition of risk:
The riskness of an investment is the probability of that investment causing its owner a loss of purchasing power over his contemplated holding period.
