Low Ringgit good for exports

And good for our UT portfolio brows.gif

Tip: Buy stocks of local exporters icon_idea.gif

Unless you have very significant holdings in overseas investment. As end user consumers, having a weak MYR is not beneficial since your purchasing power has been reduced.

What I meant is your saving + your expenditure.

Let's your networth is RM 100k and your foreign currency denominated assets make up only < 10%.

I never say no turbulence... don't simply simply cakap... nanti I Sedition sama lu baru tau!

Turbulence will always be there, it just happen that the tailwind is blowing in the direction of Asia-Pac and at the moment is towards the East Asia side.

A) You pandai pandai set full sail towards that direction, move faster lor. But moving at high speed more dangerous lar (risky)and more bumpy ride also.

B) You takut takut... you set your sail half mast, go slower but steadier and more comfortable ride.  (e.g. half china + half bond)

I am more of a B) sailorboy type.

Bullish short-term traders might do well to take their foot off the gas Friday, with two technical analysts telling CNBC that major global benchmarks were set for a short correction over the next month.

Should be the same, Constant Dollar Investment but I think I quoted wrong book.  blush.gif Should be from The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Money with Mutual Funds.

Anyway just attended FSM dinner earlier and get 0.5% SC voucher for Affin Hwang. Tomorrow would get 1% SC voucher for Affin Hwang and Eastspring from the seminar. Anyone else from this forum attended the dinner apart from yklooi and myself?
*
I'm not at Penang and therefore, unable to attend.

China cuts bank reserves again to fight slowdown

BEIJING (Reuters) - China's central bank on Sunday cut the amount of cash that banks must hold as reserves, the second industry-wide cut in two months, adding more liquidity to the world's second-biggest economy to help spur bank lending and combat slowing growth.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) lowered the reserve requirement ratio for all banks by 100 basis points to 18.5 percent.

You can diversify the risk by buying mixed exposure fund:

1. CIMB Principal Greater China Equity Fund
2. RHB-OSK China-India Dynamic Fund
