omg I want that rampage!

Anyway, painted up my Stryfe XD with matching Steath Ops Modulus kit.
Looks pretty cool I thought. At first the asymmetrical design is a huge turn off but I guess the good stock performance (better than Modulus/Demolisher) due to the short barrel design that allow me to shoot a 15x15cm target from 10 feet away with tight grouping makes me really like it a lot!

This will be my first flywheel blaster project. Gonna buy some soldering tools soon heh.

I'm afraid it was just a fraud. I also tried on his previous ads. Same picture, same name, different area, different prices.
From one number he used on the ads, he replied that the item was already sold out.

Finally got my hand on the Ion Fire.

Out of the box performance is mediocre at best, not up to the elite range and very honestly speaking, very very disappointing for a chamber-loading single shooter. Since you've already traded up the versatility but you don't get any return in terms of performance. Chamber loading is probably the worse kind of reload mechanism compared to Clip system or front loading.

That said. the mechanism is smooth and they work pretty good. I'm considering to pick up the Sharpfire now hahaha.

Anyway, after fiddling with it abit, and since I have a 7kg Retaliator spring laying around, thought I'd open it up and see if it fits, and yep, it does fit fine. And the stock spring is so freaking weak, weaker than stock Retaliator's, no wonder the crap performance.

I did not remove any locks or AR and the Ion Fire shoots like laser beam now, as long as the dart's condition is mint, not crooked or whatsoever, it shoots right where I point it to. Priming is surprisingly still easy, much much easier than priming a 7kg Retaliator.

All in all, pretty happy with this blaster! Now I need to reinforce the plunger/spring covers with some epoxy..lol
