ahh...it's the older blue version. i only remember the the yellow version that lands on our shores. no wonder it seems firefly-ish but not quite to me . great find though, the firefly is pretty cool looking. does the glow thing still works?

you don't really need to mod that much. just switch to 2x 14500 li-ion batt or a 2 cell lipo and it should work much better than stock.

Yes, the flashing lights still works. Felt like real guns flashing when firing. Performance not as good as the newer blaster. But really nice for display.

yeah, my bad. it needs C batt. you can still just rewire the batt compartment with a lipo adapter.

to use li-ion, you will need a AA to C converter. no need for dummy cells, just short the empty compartment with a wire.

i think it's the same as maverick. the blue ones never reached our shores, only the yellow ones.

performance wise, can't blame it, pretty much similar to maverick. cool if you can still get those n-strike glow darts. definitely looks awesome when fired in the dark .

Do they still have stocks?

Just ordered a couple of supposedly glow in dark dart from china. Hope it works as it advertised

Oh man the Rapidstrike is one of the best Blaster I've ever own to date lol, and not for the performance reason, simply just because its build quality and the feeling of firing a full-auto blaster. I still very much prefer Semis like Modulus/Demolisher.

My rapidstrike now. Tacticool but that barrel kills the range like nobody business lol. It's kinda useless now with the barrel attached.

Yeah, long bsrrel like this will reduce range. Now my stryfe uses shorter barrel with hole bigger than the blaster one.

But long barrel really looks cool on RS

Yeah, btw I actually have a favor to ask, do you happen to be able to 3D print a front barrel similar to the one from Spectre REV-5? If you do I will buy it from you lol

I don't have one and to design it in sketch up based on picture alone is harder, since need to guess the size and proportion.

And finishing of 3d print is not as smooth, unless you sand it down.

Anybody know if order custom parts from Taobao safe to ship to malaysia?

Yup, I did this before to order "Worker Stock" part for my nerf blaster at TaoBao.
As long it only plastic parts, not the real gun parts is ok.

Mods to be done are

1. Rewire for high current
2. Safety delete
3. Tamiya motor swap
4. LiPo battery swap
5. Custom Flywheels
6. Semi-auto delete for the Rapidstrike.
7. Custom barrel ala Spectre.

I'll update my progress here from time to time. I'll make sure they spit fire when I'm done with them buddy!
