It better be unless you want to fry an egg and assuming doing its thing meaning you are doing CPU intensive stuffs.

That's because the fan of the laptop does not even run at half of it's speed, if you try to set the fan to max speed, it should be under 80c, well that's for me at least.

Hye guys, I've been a V Nitro owner since Nov last year but just noticed that there is a thread dedicated to this wonderful laptop. Just a question though, to you guys who has updated their BIOS to v1.13, is there any significant difference as compared to v1.08?

I just bought it few weeks ago after compared to Asus JM551 and Lenovo Y50.
At the end, decided to took this.
To be honest very satisfied with this laptop, sound quality very up to standard.Screen is much better than Y50 as mentioned by many reviewers.

Hey, the palm rest area on the right side gets uncomfortably warm. Is this normal under just normal usage? Web browsing only? Even in an air-conditioned room.

Previously when im using V Nitro i also encounter this. But it does not happen regularly, sometimes only. I think its because of the Hard Drive warms up. nod.gif

Mine has been happening all the time. Currently using an external display and wireless keyboard so not rally affecting but those times when I check or have to use it on the go, it feels quite warm. For its price point, its quite unacceptable, if you ask me and I'm seriously considering having it sent back for warranty claims. Current CPU temp according to Intel Tuning Utility fluctuates between 51 - 52 degrees. Was using a Vaio before this and that device was always super cool (aluminum shell) no matter how hard I pushed it.

Ah, if that's the supposed improvement then I'm willing to give it a shot as well, thanks guys! thumbup.gif We'll be telling you guys if I notice anything different as well. As of the moment the laptop is very satisfying, gaming is pleasant and speaker volume is amazing compared to others but sometimes tend to suddenly drop down during gaming (noticed this especially in Warframe), any one of you experienced this? No heat problems for me but maybe I haven't really strained it yet.

So white spot on the screen is very common eh? I too kinda regret getting v nitro. Can see the coating coming off already altho its mostly on my desktop. Performance is good. Screen is nice to look at,except for that white spot. I thought of giving acer a chance..but I think I wont buy acer anymore.
