This is to help those with CPU throttling issues on their Acer Nitro Laptop. I have a Acer Nitro VN7-591G-744N with a i7-4720HQ processor. Once in a while randomly, the CPU is stuck at 798 – 837 MHz. CPU fan runs very slowly. Power Options are always set to High Performance or Balanced, not Power Saver. Even when I run any programs or games, the CPU is always stuck at 798 – 837 MHz. I’ve tried reformatting it but it doesn’t help.




You can fix this using ThrottleStop. Uncheck the option called BD Prochot and Click Save. You do not have to click the Turn On Button. From then on it should work properly.

is there anyone playing gta v using this laptop?
what is the max setting it can go? ?

Apparently, nitro v15 is the best selling gaming laptop in Germany.


And Acer will be launching high end Gaming laptop under the brand Predator 3rd quarter this year.

U can do that by installing msi afterburner.

The predator lineup really ganas one. I wonder what will the price be. I hope its not overprice.

Nope. Just playing gta 5 with turbo boost off and cooling pad.

Its ehem version with latest update I guess. Took my freaking 3+ hrs to install it.

Which version u download? Is it the 30GB++ repack? Or the 60GB?

Oh btw guys, my fan starts running frequently while playing games after updated bios to latest version

Repack with 30gb ++ (Ain't no fast internet to download 60gb ver). Need to download additional files since there's missing files in repack :/

When is the bios update? why i dont have notifcation for that?

Its ver 1.13 though, not the freshly release bios . Just install it recently and I found out that the fan kicks in more frequently than before while playing games.

Just sent my unit for servicing. The camera is just annoying to work with. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. GPU fan also rattling suddenly.
