Sad to know that we can't re-apply the thermal paste as it will void the warranty?

sad.gif Wanted to apply IC Diamond for my new Nitro

High chance your CPU / GPU is throttling. First check whether you block your air intake or not. If no then I think you need to send it back to have a check up.
*
Im not so sure either , i will test it out then if still the same i will send it back to warranty by tomorrow.

Oh ya , regarding z5 , my friend wanna purchase z5 but inside the illegear website there is no payment for using credit card? Anyway on how to do payment through illegear website?

At what speed should i put my fan at? As mention by one of the forumer here?

For gaming tho , would running the fan speed at max let the fan rosak faster? LOL

My mindset is like this. FAN > CPU and GPU or CPU and GPU > FAN (Thats me though). So i set fan as max speed when gaming and set it to medium or low depends on the temp.  biggrin.gif , fan is cheaper to replace i suppose than CPU and GPU.  tongue.gif
*
Okay thanks biggrin.gif , so while gaming let it full?

If the temp is ok then let it be if not set it up one level higher and check.

Okay thanks , if i go acer service center ask them help me change thermal paste with charges will they do? as if i change myself would void the warranty

For me as long it is floating around 80 celcius, i'm fine with it. For yours, yup it is high temp for sure (by my standards anyway)

Different people different view. Of course the lower the better.
*
Okay thanks , will have a compare with my friend v nitro , cause we bought 2 units today , mine is kinda over heating i guess. i already disabled turbo boost tho

Well, i disable turbo boost and undervolt my CPU. Since the turbo boost doesnt seem to increase the performance in gaming that much.
*
I see , setting the maximum what at the power setting to 99 right consider as disable turbo boost right?

how do u undervolt ur cpu mind telling me?

Lol, if you want to then download it then go to manual tuning, look for dynamic CPU Voltage offset and set it stage by stage (I go -25mV then stress test it for stability for 20-30 minutes after stress test is successful i further reduce it by another -25mV then rinse and repeat.)

Do note. When stress test (without gaming), you can undervolt more compared to gaming. So set profiles for normal usage and gaming.

Though the bad thing about undervolt is BSOD. There might be hidden risk so do it at your own risk.
*
Okay thanks , will have a look into it. Hopefully Acer do allow me to change my thermal paste without voiding my warranty. sad.gif , as if asking them to do just i bring along my ic diamond thermal paste.

The thing is i prefer them doing while i'm watching. You'll never know what they do behind close door (My 2 cents).
*
Yeah i know , i will request them to do it right infront of me.

Maybe its my luck tho getting a faulty unit? kinda the temp is kinda high

My temperatures are also high. Playing Cities Skylines even with the lowest possible settings and resolution causes it to throttle. For D2 not so bad I guess but occasional throttling also (3+ games, 1 throttle). I think I really need to repaste :/
*
I guess we have to repaste our lappy sad.gif , hopefully they dont void our warranty for doing so .
