I recommend you it because it got better CUDA core and i7 quad core.. Well I got your point, maybe the resell value is not as high as Dell since not much people know of this brand.
Just make sure you got a i7 quad core or abv + min 8gb ram. Preferable 16gb if you're doing some intense high texture sh*t modeling. haha
I personally won't get laptop to do intense rendering job. It is a waste of money sweat.gif

true nod.gif but i think this nitro can do well, just really scared with this heat issue.. and since few pages, saw complaints. and i'm not sure this model or another model that have issue with wifi keep dc.. hmm.gif and acer tech suggest to fix it using power management control.

IIRC, gtx860m is not good in open world game. Your game is quite new tho. Try lowering your AA or don't use it.

I see. Well I played Cities:Skylines just now and surprisingly I found a good playable graphics setting. The game didn't throttle once. It usually throttles when I set it to speed 3 for a long time but the temperature hovered around 76-77 degrees and was at it's hottest at 82 degrees.

What settings are you using ? If possible avoid using AA in high demanding game. Or use FMAA is enough.

I think AA and AF are the settings which causes the throttling. Try don't use those 2, those 2 are the well known "performance killer".

It certainly will affect the battery life. But the effect is not as bad as heat. Heat is battery no.1 enemy. I suggest just unplug the charger whenever it reaches 100%. nod.gif or even better just use the battery as u wish since sooner or later the battery will deteriorate anyway, thats the side effect of built in battery. biggrin.gif

Different manufacturer different setting. Actually when i use v nitro before this i never use any cooler, since the fan is at the back theres no point of using cooler, just make sure that u lift up the back part a bit higher so that the air can easily flow. That would do the trick. U can try and see the difference in temperature when u lift and not lift the back. thumbup.gif

Since my laptop wont cut off charging should i go service centre to ask them? It may affect the battery life if plugged in charging and playing

Try after it is fully charged, switch off the power adapter and wait a few seconds. Then plug it back and switch on the adapter. The indicator of the battery will most probably be updated by that time

Guys, I notice my v nitro screen got 2 small white dot, are these cover in warranty? If not mistaken these white dots will spread over the screen after sometimes, eventually it will make the screen blur/unusesble. Anyone has the same problem as mine?
