every topup, including RM3 will extend your validity to 30 days.
every call & sms you make, your validity will extend to 30 days.
So as long as there is credit in your phone and u keep using to make calls, sms or surf the net, your validity will remain for long time..

Yes can do mnp, internet plan can see at http://www.friendimobile.my/prepaid-mobile#internet-rates

The most can get for 1 month plan is only 1.5gb..no 3gb or 5gb plan
After quota finish got ppu 7sen per mb..unlike #hotlink which have no ppu..
For friendi the attractive plan is 1.5gb for only rm23 because when u topup rm20 and above can get free rm5

Just need your full name, ic number which is the same as u registered with your current number and your full addrress..
The charge will be rm5 for the sim and rm3 for the postage. Total will be only rm8..
Your number must also be active during the port out period and your credit inside is not transferable..max days will be 5 days process but usually will take 2-3 days..

still got alot of telco using ppu ...altel, celcom, tunetalk, hotlink before #hotlink plan all ppu..

1. since they are still a new telco, their topup is still not available at cimbclicks/maybank2u. but should be available at most petrol stations, giant and tesco. more info if your nearby shops are selling the topup is available here http://www.friendimobile.my/dealer-locator#dealer-locator

2. coverage same as maxis and umobile.

3. Bonus data is valid for:
Daily — 1 day | Weekly — 3 days | 10 days — 5 days | 2 weeks — 5 days | Monthly — 7 days
Bonus data will be used first as in their t&c
http://www.friendimobile.my/terms-and-cond...s-and-condtions
Under Data Renewal 3.3

Hope this answers your question..

Frendi doesn't have mms/voicemail, thats the main difference with other brands in terms of services. I think Frendi/Tron don't have roaming as well.

It also doesn't have a a 1yr plan, you have to keep making sms/calls or use the data connection to extend the validity every 30 days.

Yup..thats one of the drawbacks of being a new telco
New #hotlink plan also no 1 year plan and also digi easy plan..but as long as u have credit inside n u make call or sms before the validity expire, u can easily extend it to 30 days, no need to topup

I would like say, after i tried all telco, name it Celcom, Maxis, Digi, Umobile, this is the cheapest prepaid i ever tried.

All main telco, with prepaid, i will spent approximately RM50 and above. But with Friendi, i just spent only around RM36 month, thanks to Friendi Airbag feature, after i reached RM24.99 call/sms usage, it will be free until the end of month. Unlike prepaid plan like Umobile, after i used all the free call/sms usage, it will charge u the next call/sms. Need more top up... :-(

Best thing about Friendi, got free airtime for every RM20 top up. 60 days validity every time i call/sms/internet. Their customer service is superb, i received call from their Service Centre few days after i port in to Friendi. That person that called me gave me such a warm welcome for port in from other telco to Friendi and even asked me if i got anything question about Friendi. I ask kaw kaw about all feature in Friendi, that person (she) really answered every question that i asked in a nice proper way. She explained to me until i understand :-)

Don't worry, the Friendi network ride on Umobile/Maxis network. So far, compared to other telco, the network performance is fine. I think i will stay with Friendi for a long time.

I ask kaw kaw about all feature in Friendi, that person (she) really answered every question that i asked in a nice proper way. She explained to me until i understand :-)

Don't worry, the Friendi network ride on Umobile/Maxis network. So far, compared to other telco, the network performance is fine. I think i will stay with Friendi for a long time.

thank you for your feedback...enjoy your stay with friendi thumbup.gif

I see, thanks for the info. Btw could you share the details on the airbag feature? Thank you in advance.

They say nothing about within the same network or not. So it pretty vague to me.

Local calls means All network in Malaysia
If on net means same network, off net means other networks..
so local calls is all network

Thanks for the reply. I know the on/off net terms but they should at least say "all network" like other telco did to signify that it is for both on and and of net. Otherwise we are on a trial and error basis here.

so curious on how this works.
Please let me know if i understood correctly.

example 1
if i dont take any bundle, so that means i have no data.
then i make calls until i hit 34.99 and the rest will be free, bcoz of Friendi Airbag. Subject to TnC of course.

example 2
I take RM30 More Local Call bundle.
That means for 1 month, i only spend RM30.
I get 250 Mins calls and SMS.

When I exceed 250 mins of calls, I wont be charged, bcoz of Friendi Airbag. So total monthly charge will not exceed RM30

or will it be

RM30 + 24.99 + Friendi Airbag?

Lastly, what is the call charging block? 30 secs? 60 secs?

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

It depends on one's needs.

My take for this Telco and plan:

1. You don't need too much cellular data on average. Of course you can buy the appropriate plan if the need arises.

2. Have cheap plan if you make a lot of calls and sms

3. Long and cheap activation life if you seldom call or use the phone. Mainly for others to call you.

4. Cheap rate for IDD calls & SMS . Can IDD call/sms directly, no need press special number .

5. Convenient & fast online reload

6. Prepaid. (You (telcos) can't charge me more that what I have! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif . Not that I have any problem with this telco thumbup.gif )

Disclaimer : I'm not related to this telco in anyway except being a happy customer thus far.

So far, no issue with me after ~2 months of usage and it fits perfectly for my expectation for a prepaid telco

1. No voicemail
2. Got Missed Call Notification SMS thumbup.gif
3. Validity extension per usage (1st in Msia) rclxms.gif Main reason why I chose FRiENDi
4. Call/sms/internet rates competitive with other prepaid telco
5. Coverage = Maxis / U Mobile

OK certainly there are disadvantages:-

1. Call blog per 60 secs vmad.gif mad.gif
2. No USSD that can directly see credit balance + expiry date rclxub.gif

1. Agree. I am just listing out all the goods and bads. Picking bones from an egg if not ppl said I only say good no say bad.
2. *101# does not show expiry. Need to choose 1. I mean if can directly see both then will be better. Again, picking bones from an egg.

Could you explain why you said the coverage is like "Maxis/Umobile" when this company only riding on Umobile infrastructure?

The latest bundle is soo tempting.
Would like to know the call block. Is it a 60 sec call block for local bundle? or is it first minute call block, then the rest in seconds?

SoB seller (with big Altel signboard) at Giant Taman Equine sell it @ RM8.50, no price tag on the simpack, of course, SOP for SoB seller these days. WTF, clearly way above actual price set by Friendi and surely does not bode well for Friendi.

Any way to report this to Friendi?

Can report at Friendi Website because RRP is RM5.30 unless it is vvvip number. Friendi will call the dealer about the case. If still no change can report to SKMM.

The shop sell the SIMpack at RM8.50 for normal number.

Of course the SoB is smart enough not to put price tag/sticker like other shop in that Giant who are selling Celcom SIMpack at jacked up price but refused to provide purchase receipt to customers.

Pay Per Use 7sen per MB
New Telco need to give time before they give free internet to users. Just see Celcom. Now only they implement free internet after quota finish. Tunetalk and Altel also under Celcom still use Pay Per Use after finish quota

Is there any way for user to avoid the Pay Per Use by doing something like setting it so the internet will stop completely once the quota finished?

For me, i can still tolerate the Pay Per Use (for now) but i need a way to make sure the internet will stop the moment the quota finished.

Can. If you android can set your mobile data limit in the settings.
If you use iOS need to micro manage your data like disable background refresh, disable auto download in whatsapp.
If quota almost finish friendi will send sms reminder.

jz read the terms and conditions for friend airbag.

If i subscribe a data package RM18 500mb. Then i can enjoy the free 1000 min call and 1000 sms? That would be really good package for my parents

------------
Upon reaching monthly local usage of RM24.99 and subscribe to any IDD or data bundle priced at least RM 10.00

I would advise caution to all. Please read their T&C and some of their confusing terms, contact them for clarification.

I have been a supporter and user for many many moons now having many numbers and ported many friends and family there too. Recently encountered a situation in one of their terms in which many is not aware of. I'm in contact with them to fix the condition. Hopefully soon or I will bring this matter to the correct authority.

Please be aware that in order to get free rm5 from accumulated rm20, the reloads must be done within the same month.

Reload rm10 this month and reload rm10 next month wont get free rm5.

Reload rm10 this month, reload rm20 same month get free rm5. Reload again on the same month rm10 will get another free rm5 because accumulate rm40 the same month.

Friendi website did not clearly states this in their t&c
Also max free airtime get is rm25.

I suggest you use the new local bundle.
The Friendi Airbag works like this
You subscribe to RM18 internet, the counter starts from that day. Then u use until rm24.99 only after the 15th day. So the free 1000min and 1000sms only last for the next 15 days.

What does it mean by 1 call = 60 day validity ?

My usage is very little. I just need a line active. Usage is probably about RM20 a year only. The PPU internet at 7sen is good for me as only use whatsapp.

4.5INACTIVE ACCOUNT. If you do not use your Airtime or Reload the Airtime under Your account for a continuous
period of sixty (60) days from Activation, or within sixty (60) days after your last usage (whichever is longer), Your Account will automatically be rendered “inactive” for thirty (30) days immediately upon the expiry of sixty (60) days from Activation, or upon the expiry of sixty (60) days after last usage. An inactive account is however not a “terminated account” since an account is not terminated until and unless in accordance with Clause 4.8 below. During this period, you will still be able to receive calls and SMS on Your account.

4.6REACTIVATING WHEN ACCOUNT IS INACTIVE. When Your Account is inactive by reason stated in Clause
4.5 above, you may reactivate Your Account by Reloading the Airtime at any time during the thirty (30) days period when Your Account is inactive.

4.7SUSPENDED ACCOUNT. If you fail to Reload during the period when Your Account is inactive, Your Account
will be suspended for thirty (30) days. During this period, you will not be able to receive any calls or SMS in Your
Account. If you do not reactive Your account during this period, it will be automatically terminated.

4.8TERMINATION OF ACCOUNT. If you fail to Reload during the period when Your Account is suspended, Your
Account will automatically be terminated upon expiry of the thirty (30) days period of Your Suspended Account.

I suggest you use the new local bundle.
The Friendi Airbag works like this
You subscribe to RM18 internet, the counter starts from that day. Then u use until rm24.99 only after the 15th day. So the free 1000min and 1000sms only last for the next 15 days.
*
how about if i subscribe the rm12 10days internet auto-renewal... will the airbag be active?

not true. you can buy rm30 bundle vaild for a month and it gives you 250 mins 250 sms and 500mb data. Very good value.

Or spend rm40 for 30 days and get unlimited sms and call and 0.5gb as well

On top of that they have something interesting, the 'airbag' where if you local call/sms usage exceed rm34.99, the bill stops there for 30 days

http://www.friendimobile.my/prepaid-mobile...#friendi_bundle

http://www.friendimobile.my/prepaid-mobile...#friendi_airbag

friendi is good for people who call a lot

last 2 months, each month i called 500 minutes (and sent a fair amount of sms) and used 400mb of the allocated 500mb. My plan cost rm40. Unbeatable if you ask me. The cheapest minutes out there are 10 sen per minute. You can use up to 1000 mins and 1000 sms and 0.5g for rm40.

The bonus credit is given in RM5 every month for at least RM10 is topped up within 7 days of successful MNP . The credit can be spent on anywhere.

and what guarantee can you give that U mobile won't increase its price?

If you read other threads, you will come to the conclusion that U has been a bit sneaky and uncaring.

Having said that, Friendi is a MVNO for U Mobile so if they increase price it's probably because U Mobile squeeze them!

Just one example of U Mobile's sneakiness:

Agreed. I'll never know when Friendi will increase the price ....

For that matter, I also will never know when MagicSIM (which revamped their price recently), Best, #hotlink, Altel, Merchantrade, TuneTalk, ToneExcel, OneXOX, XOX, BuzzMe, Tron, U and etc will increase their price either.

A little bit ironic but I find these 2 MVNOs are better (service quality/plans/prices) than the company they lease airtime from:

Tunetalk MVNO of Celcom
Friendi MVNO of U Mobile

Port out is fine but who else is offering a small data plan (0.5 to 1 gig) and unlimited calls/sms to all network for rm40. That too, used only to cost rm 30 because you get rm10 bonus with every rm40 top up. I use 400 to 600 minutes and a few sms a month. With U's power prepaid I will pay rm40 to 60 per month just for call usage.

I use friendi solely for calls only and long validity can't even spend RM10 per month and with this stupid short validity, I'm out. I had broadband plan from u mobile for data sim.

I highly recommend that those not satisfied with the latest reload bonus to go to their web page and file a complain. If everyone does that, they may think twice about their current bonus.

With U's power prepaid I will pay rm40 to 60 per month just for call usage.

I guess its time for you to port out then. It will be increased to RM49.99 tomorrow sweat.gif shakehead.gif

don't jump the gun yet, see how this folds out. the other thing is friendi has it's own leased bandwidth from u. U is quite congested due to large user base but friendi is still relatively stable and not congested.

Well, apparently the internet data charging block is now standardised at 1MB per block irrespective of plans (PAYU or data plans use 1MB block). The new usage block is now stated in the FAQ section.

Hmm ... that means turning on data for quick 2-3 minutes whatsapp will gobble 1MB even with a subscribed data plan. shocking.gif

So, I guess I have to advise those who I recommended Friendi previously to review their bottom lines ...

To be honest, what you're getting is even lesser than before sweat.gif
http://www.friendimobile.my/help#faq

QUOTE
Can I use the 100% airtime rebate for voice call and SMS? And what is the validity period?
No. The rebate can only be used for Pay-As-You-Use data after the data balance from data bundle is exhausted. The airtime rebate will have the same validity as the data bundle.

And so with that, let's take the monthly RM18 for 500mb as an example.

Previously: they give half the amount which is 250mb when you renew the plan.

Now: RM 18 airtime rebate / RM 0.075/mb = 240mb only, 10mb lesser than before shakehead.gif

I was going through friendi's tnc to look for more info on the data block counter and I found this:

Terms and Conditions > Data Renewal > Item 3.7
QUOTE
3.7 The data usage which is deducted from the main balance of the data plan and from the airtime rebate, will be subject to the charging block of 1MB for the first MB and 3MB for the subsequent MB in single data session.

So, I stand to be corrected.

Now apparently the data block counter for any subscribed data plan is 1MB for first MB usage and 3MB subsequently. A single session using 1.1MB will deduct 4MB from your quota. Looks like many friendi data users will soon be wondering why their quota finishes too quickly.

Hard for me to believe friendi is going this route.

I just posted in their Facebook:

Your new reload bonus cannot be used to buy all-in-one packages? It seems like a gimmick. How does one use up the bonus in a few days that too you use up the paid airtime first. Your old bonus system seems much better. Sorry I may be porting out my three numbers though it's been a wonderful few months with you...

Well, in terms of call tariff, nothing beats U power right now.

Let's do a little bit of comparison using Friendi RM45 local bundle:

1. Friendi's RM45 local bundle actually gives only 250 minutes of calls to all network (go read up on the new TNC). Using off-net tariff of 18 sen a minute, thus 250 minutes x 18 sen = RM45.

2. OneXOX off-net calling tariff is also 18 sen a minute (9sen/30secs block), thus 250 minutes x 18 sen = RM45

3. TuneTalk calling tariff is default at 16 sen a minute for first 2 minutes, 10 sen subsequently; but for the purpose of comparisons I use default tariff, thus 250 minutes x 16 sen = RM40

4. U power calling tariff is 10 sen per minute (5sen/30secs block) all networks, thus 250minutes x 10 sen = RM25

(The assumption for using off-net tariff is give a clear all-rounder.)

Based on the above, U power gives best calling rates. If one comes from Friendi and considering Upower then the only mitigating factor to consider is network load/congestion. At RM30 a month with free 1GB highspeed quota plus 2GB basic internet and still able make at least 250 minutes of calls, nothing else comes even close.

Of course, there is a place for OneXOX and TuneTalk but they will cater to users with different requirements.

Not to mention that if you make a lot of calls, those with shorter call block will tend to be better in savings as you don't need to pay in full 2 minutes if you use up like 1 minute and 5 seconds.

Just ignore the top up reminder, you still can try out the call quality with the preloaded RM2 free credit.
As for voice quality, using wifi to call is better than 3G, Calling fixed line is better than calling mobile. I mainly use it for fixed line calls and less than a minute short mobile calls. One short Friendi call is 18sen whereas Lebara is only 1sen or 3sen, quite a significant savings. It's worthwhile to keep RM10 Lebara credit just for this purpose since there is no monthly maintenance whatsoever.

I compare with my previous telco, my present one friendi and two possible future ones.

onexox call rates will be considered very high if compared to:

1. tunetalk - 4 minutes long is 16 + 16 + 10 +10 = 52 cents
2. friendi previous plan rm40 for .5 gig and unlimited calls and sms. Using about 600 minutes a month costs about 6 cents or so and got further discount of 25% (reload rm20 get rm25). So that works out the absolute cheapest but now different story.
3. u power prepaid - 4 minutes is 40 cents.

edit: oh I forgot to mention you can discount tune's 52 cets to a lot less because when you top up rm50 you actually get rm70 airtime so the call rate will be closer to 40 cents as well.

excellent explanation!

I nearly wanted to correct you about the rm45 plan where talk time and sms are supposed to be unlimited (limited to 1,000 mins/sms anyway) but having just read their terms and conditions, the sneaky buggers have changed the unlimited max from 1,000 mins/sms to 250! Very bad, they're going to lose customers fast.

Anyway, besides the maxis 1 plan and u's p70 who else in the market is offering unlimited or at least plenty minutes of over say 500 per month?

edit: oh I forgot to mention you can discount tune's actual call rate to a lot less because when you top up rm50 you actually get rm70 airtime so the call rate will be closer to 40 cents as well.

If only U gives some kind of top up bonus then they will truly be unbeatable!

I dont understand your statement: "Based on the above, U power gives best calling rates. If one comes from Friendi and considering Upower then the only mitigating factor to consider is network load/congestion. At RM30 a month with free 1GB highspeed quota plus 2GB basic internet and still able make at least 250 minutes of calls, nothing else comes even close." - in order to use the internet fast and basic for 30 days, you need to top up rm30 per month so that should give you 300 minutes. How do you arrive at 250 minutes?

Sorry, my bad for the confusion. You are correct that rm30 Upower topup gives maximum 300 minutes of talktime.

I was making comparison to Friendi rm45 local bundle's 250 minutes and was thinking that rm30 on U still gives 250 minutes talktime with rm5 credit balance .....

And not to forget the calculation for TuneTalk is not accurate because if handled intelligently, you get rm70 airtime from a rm50 top up. That's 20% extra airtime.

I already left them for U power prepaid. Good luck Friendi with such sneaky schemes; you're losing much needed customers fast.

On a side note, the MNP was the fastest in my history of a dozen or so mnp - dealer CNY Garage put in the request at 3pm and at 3.03pm, my Friendi line was dead and they quickly swallowed my rem9 credit balance. So fast that even the U Power Prepaid also no line till 6pm!

normally when you apply for mnp, depending on the donor operator you will still be active anywhere from 6 to 36 hours but in this case i only had 3 minutes. Poof the line was gone. I suppose they are practical - if you're losing the customer, swiftly makan their credit...

Another reason why this MNP went so fast is because Frinedi is MVNO of U Mobile.

Well to be frank....U Mobile is using Maxis Network too
so if that is so......it is also a MVNO too

U Mobile has its own infra for 3g and 4g, so it is a mno. Altel too, has its own infra for 4g so it is also a mno.

only for 2g wherever they don't have their own equipment. U Mobile is not MVNO, it is a network operator albeit with infrastructure sharing agreement with Maxis

to be more correct, it is for 2g and 3g where U Mobile don't have their own infra (2g is solely by Maxis, 3g for certain areas where U Mobile doesn't cover).

U Mobile is new so running 2g infra is not cost effective for them anymore since it will be phased out in the later future and it will be more cost effective to share with the existing telcos who have 2g infra. Same case for Altel that's why both of them hop onto other telco's infra for 2g and 3g

can you substantiate that?

friendi is a mvno of u-mobile and the call quality is identical if not better due to their under utilised leased bandwidth.

having said that, I am no longer with friendi since they have made their once attractive plans unattractive!

friendi never had long validity.

validity used to get extended by sixty days with each reload, call or sms.

but I still have 2 more lines with them (going to port out soon) which suddenly expired even though I had remarked in my calendar when they were going to expire.

Not only that, when i reloaded, I only got one month validity.

I am so going to get out soon!

So sad I could only enjoy their rm40 package for 2 months before they went rogue.

that package gave me 500mb per month and unlimited call and sms (even though stated as 1,000 mins and 500sms) could really have been unlimited due to airbag kicking in with rm34.99 usage.

that rm40 plan actually cost me rm30 since every rm20 reload got rm5 bonus, it was the steal of the century. now the nearest plans are digi 65 and u mobile 70. They don't even offer any sms.

now i mnp to u power prepaid and pay 5 cents per 30 seconds and get 1 gig free internet per month.

Really hope some operator offers an unlimited call and sms plan (with half to 1 gig data per month) for around 40 bucks.

Agree with you.

Friendi who is running on U Mobile infrastructure was a telco who offer the best unlimited (but actually limited) packages until the U Mobile itself come up with its RM70 unlimited plan and DiGi to a lesser extent with its RM65 unlimited plan. After that Friendi was just going downhill and never seem to recover.

As for SMS. I don't see that having an unlimited mobile package without unlimited SMS is a big issue in this day and age.

if they did not make u sign anything or if it is not in their t&c, you can complain to mcmc/cfm. they may just release you!

the fact that they made u top up large amount means they already got 'paid' for the special number.

oh well, at least 6 months is not really that much for friendi. Since the minimum commitment to keep your number would be 3 x 0.04 = 0.12 / 12 cents while for others it could go much higher than that smile.gif

Anyone knows how I can change my Mini SIM to a Micro SIM? Can't seem to find info on service centres in Kota Kinabalu.

I know there's always the option of cutting it myself but I'm wary as it's an important work number. Or am I stuck with older generation phones because of the SIM size? cry.gif

friendi is very attractive package. I would mnp to them if only they have capping on pay-as-you-go data plan.

For a normal user, they will not know how to control their data and sometimes will used up all data then they started get to charged by pay-as-you-go. This is not good control. Their data plans also seems to cater to this direction. It's like they are banking on unsuspecting users to overuse their quota and then get charged for extra data usage.

If you are in Cheras, go to this shop (with Maxis Hotlink signboard) at Jalan Sembilang, Taman Tenaga, Cheras.
(GPS location : 03'06'51.45'N , 101'43'27.19"E). I just bought 2 pax at Rm15/= each (with RM12/= credit) 4 days ago. They still have about 20 pax at that time.

I brought my Friendi sim pack from mynewscom 1utama just now.

The staff try to register by key in *119#. It ask for IC/Name/Address/City, and finally "outlet ID", which he key in 0018 but popout "This is not a valid selection".

He tried to call around asking for help but not any solution. Finally, he asked me to try similar step to register after home.

Just tried but can't. Anyone can help to register? Sweat.... cry.gif

It take me two days. The customer service of Friendi, specifically Jack and Dillion, are very responsive, they called me more than 10 times to follow up.

Finally success after icon_rolleyes.gif
1)during the registration process, when it ask "putting IC# or passport#", dont put #after the IC, jz IC alone is enough
2)the outlet id is always 3 digit, mynews.com one utama told 0018, actually is 019
3)change from non-smart phone to smart phone (i put Friendi sim to my samsung C3222 after home, it fail to register even the two step above until customer service advice to my samsung Note 4)

Thanks for the suggestion from all.

I'm the one who bought the VIP number during year 2014. It's actually you need to buy their topup totaling RM500 to get the VIP number. The topup that you buy you can use back with your prepaid account, not burnt just like that.
Currently I already porting to other network, as my final decision looks that the prepaid plan less attractive and not worth for daily usage.

I just balance checked, my validity date stopped at 11 Feb. eventhough there were calls made till 16th Dec. So I guess it takes effect some time around 11 or 12 Dec.

Any idea where to buy the RM3 reload denomination ?

all these business models will die out eventually. ppl who go for these telco usually to keep their numbers. may have a lot of users, but they don't earn much. most ppl still go for the big 4 for better service and plans.

Once the unique of business models will die out, then it will also affect company.
At the end, disappear in the air.

OR it might comes out another unique of business models in the future. (Currently still planning yet)
Let's see what unique of business models for this company.

Altel doesn't have free 1yr validity and requires RM50 minimum top up for new number or mnp when you join. If you want a few numbers, it adds up.
Tune also needs minimum RM30 to join up.

Trying to port out after new terms on validity period but can't because validity period expired.

I want to port out to Unifi mobile but found my 60 day validity had turned to 30 days and now my line is already suspended and I can't port out.
That's why I'm looking for minimum reload to basically flush down the toilet.

For whoever that still has a sim with them, drop them an email at refund@cerestelecom.my and they will reply you back with a form that you need to fill up for the refund of your balance (apparently that they will only start refunding after 15th)

Onetelco under salamfone is mvno of maxis

Maxis disconnect the line, then it is salamfone who need to go to hell?

Xox absorbing the user of onetelco like company acquisition la

It seems like currently still have mnvo like onexox, tunetalk and redone survive in the market.

Then digital telco like yoodo, ookyo and Tapp.. See who is the last man standing..

Hmmm ...

That is a simplistic and inaccurate view.

1. Salamfone was owned by kuwaitis.

2. Onetelco was owned by malaysians.

3. Onetelco does not own salamfone but was an associate running a program with salamfone.

4. salamfone owners didn't give a damn about the bussiness.

5. salamfone couldnt fulfill their contract and got terminated

6. onetelco forked out their own money to bring over all those who registered through them to xox (under onexox brand) and cut a deal that benefitted their users (all user credits retained) ...

7. salamfone owned maxis money and during the whole fiasco let onetelco deal with maxis when the contract was with salamfone. Does that make any sense ?

8. So, yes salamfone shud be buried in the fiery pit.

9. Several years later, xox saw onexox as ka-ching ka-ching and was absorbed as subsidiary.

I believe that is a more accurate picture.

celcom mvno is special case

redone ceo is yoodo guy
yoodo 100% celcom
merchandtrade, tunetalk & smart pinoy control by celcom
xox part own by celcom

Celcom Axiata also holds share in the MVNOs: Merchant trade (20 percent), PLDT Malaysia/ Smart Pinoy (49 percent) and Tune Talk (35 percent).

Just ported out.

If you are currently in inactive period, today is your last day to perform a reload as top up service will be barred tomorrow. Your line has to be active in order to reply SMS for MNP confirmation.

My bad, there's no need to SMS reply YES for my successful MNP to Digi. My Digi SIM just works the next morning. I guess Friendi enabled automatic approval to all MNP.
