Yeah maxis quick quick decide! No action will end your service and use unifi soon!
*
Maxis don't care, the profit for this division is insignificant... that is why everything in Maxis ftth is outsource... from support to server

You want bye2? They are glad u do so... saving cost on their outsourcing

What about the new 30Mbps? Aminia router given as well?

Is the Aminia capable of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? Need to manual switch or auto on the bandwidth?

How good is this Aminia router(asides from dual bandwidth) compare to existing maxis router?

I see there is two antenna available in Aminia, so I assume the wifi signal is much better than existing maxis router with no antenna.

*
🤦‍♂️ So is the white one with no antenna is dual bandwidth as well?

Yes, dont be fooled by the router with feature like dual bandwidth. It has the feature doesnt guarantee, performance is another story. As usual from maxis, this router goes haywire once high download speed required or many devices connected. Some devices automatically got kicked, authentication failed
*
Shit, worst than the existing technicolor?

If this is the case, might as well use existing one

Also got call from maxis to upgrade to RM129 100Mbps, speed will auto upgrade on 13th September. Contract will be renewed 2 years and you will need to agree with all terms and conditions during the call. Router will be upgraded if current router unable to support.

Let's see what will happen on 13th it self...
*
Sounds like we are not getting new router since Thomson can support 30Mbps 😩

Guys,

Just got a call from Maxis and they told me that 100Mbps is ONLY for landed property, not high rise. So, they going to change the router and revise my current 30Mbps fee to RM89 (excluding SST).

BTW, I wonder why gaming (PS4) using Maxis Broadband seems not as stable compare to Unifi or even my humble mobile data (Maxis 4G).

Some says related to IP. Anyone experience this before and how can I resolve it. Thanks.

What is the router you are getting?

TM counter Maxis with a new 100mbps @ RM129 plan today.
Comes with free dect phone, router, PlayTV, 600min free call to all networks, free call to all TM fixed lines. Upload speed is 50mbps.

Will you stay put with Maxis or switch over to Unifi ?
*
Most probably Unifi bcoz of the Turbo boost possibility later.

But I'm stuck with Maxis, staying high-rise on copper 😭 and maxis 30Mbps is superior due to no surfing quota

Dude, just login to 192.168.1.254 with your browser. User Name: administrator....Password: your modem serial number.
I just got my router changed yesterday in preparation for the 100Mbps. Yes, confirmed is the TP-Link AC1200 (Archer C5v). I notice there is a significant improvement in the range....tested with some apps.
*
sounds good

hope getting the same for 30Mbps

if given Aminia, then kaninia lo

I think No choice but wait. I doubt they can do anything even if u call their hotline. I also just got a call randomly on Tuesday then got it changed yesterday.

I asked the caller how I was chosen, he said they got a list from management to call these ppl to arrange the router upgrade. And said I am one of the lucky ones.
*
Then this is very unfair

Maxis need to lower down our billing to RM89 on 13 September onwards,

Their manpower issue is not our problem
