QUOTE 5. Oh, and the Maxperts that maxis brags about? They are no experts at all. Well, at least not the guy who was doing up mine. He kept referring to a set of instructions on his phone and kept calling his supervisor during the setting up of the modem and running the speedtest. Felt like telling him "Move over and I'll do it." exactly! |

QUOTE(busbos @ Oct 2 2018, 05:18 PM) this is the case of TM didnt update your speed profile ya worr bro - i just wish they or TM just get it done once and for all - rather than asking me to take speedtest each time, whether LAN or WIFI, whether speedtest or Maxis Speedtest ... when it is clearly at their switch / profile level .... it was the same case as mine, as usual technician came to my house to check router etc then he said this is most probably because of TM didn't update my speed profile, still stucked at the previous 50Mbps upload speed he called TM on the spot and fixed it |

finally, a maxis home broadband person called me - he acknowledges the problem and there are a few random cases where uploads are stuck due to profile changes yet to be done bt TM. Requested me to be patient while they get it sorted out the soonest time possible.

infuture after 24 months - i may decide to switch back to Unifi .... as the backbone belongs to them hence their service to entertain any backend switch is faster than maxis.

QUOTE(calvin1688 @ Oct 3 2018, 12:29 PM) Your case upload at 20MB is consider ok.My upload speed stuck at 10mpbs & sometimes seems u can pay (not the full rate) until this has been sorted out.can't reach 10mbps. I had complain to them also not work. The internet profile has been reconfigure 2 times also not work.I tell their customer service if your upload speed still not reach at 50mbps your bills i won't pay till the case solve they also treat like normal. I now don't know what action should be taken against them. or ask them for cancellation without penalty. |

what i do is :
TM BTU Lan 2 - TP Link WAN port, Lan 2 (Off wireless) - Asus AC66 Lan 3 (AP mode only) (Wifi 2.5g and 5g) My home entire devices are connected by Wifi / Lan to Asus. Somehow quite stable as TP link is just being a router and asus being the AP / Lan. Speed wise and load all okay - no drops. Just that my Maxis UP is stuck still at 20MB. finally Maxis will send their actual 'technical' team to troubleshoot the 20MB upload issue..
according to TM they have already changed the profile - the Maxis technical team suspect it is the BTU issue ... |
