QUOTE(megakeygen_zero @ Oct 28 2023, 09:56 PM) Hi, I can't reach full speed of the promised 100mbps package, speedtest always capped at 93-95mbps max. even with LAN could be 10/100 ethernet limit (check cables are cat5e or better) or your network cardi know it's not a major annoyance, but is there any ways to get the full 100mbps experience? or just maxis on tm infra things |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Oct 30 2023, 09:38 AM) Just stay on since breaching the contract will incur heavy penalty. When the upgrade starts in November try to negociate with Maxis. If not possible for upgrade at least get price reduction. I thought that is because Maxis has to pay the penalty to TM?Back then termination penalty is RM500. Nowadays Maxis follows TM whereby termination fee have to pay remaining months. It is costly for TM to cover. Imagine RM89*23 months, that run into rm2000 just for 1 user only. So, TM could just pay you, you pay Maxis, Maxis pays it back to TM Money stays goes back to them |

QUOTE(blibala @ Oct 30 2023, 12:35 PM) In fact all these penalty thing shall be abolished. And it shall be contract free service to all. It is actually a Youtube problemWhat if telco dont provide good service but we cant terminate the contract? Just like Maxis now every night also damn slow youtube also buffering. Complaining to them they said their line is ok. https://twitter.com/TeamYouTube/status/1718687545154761150 jusbella liked this post

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 19 2023, 06:14 PM) Though it is real but not happening to everyone. A few of us on this thread are also on UniFi infra and never got below the advertised speed, always more than that. I feel like it depends on your area and also when did you install itA relative of mine installed it back in like 2017 and the 30Mbps is capped at 28Mbps till this day |

Man, they are not messing around I fear that the network can't even survive this night and fear how it will be the next morning QuantumEdge and jusbella liked this post

Since there isn't a Maxis breached by r00tkit thread and this has kinda become that thread they just posted they messed with sending smses and also draining money from users... quoting their text QUOTE In the past few days, thousands of SMS messages have been sent to their innocent customers, causing chaos and confusion. But that's not all! Large sums of money have mysteriously vanished from their customers bank accounts, finding their way into the pockets of third-party companies. I think I confirm they did in fact do that, a friend of mine suddenly received a message at like 11pm a few days ago, claiming that they have successfully signed up for Maxis Fiber Lite (didn't know that even existed) 30Mbps at some random address in Perak (they do not live in Perak) They have made a police report from that So uhh, folks here should check their messages and funds as well I suppose PoisonSoul liked this post

QUOTE(zioburosky13 @ Feb 7 2024, 12:35 PM) Does this mean I still need to get the custom SFP stick for the Maxis home fiber 2Gbps package, same method as how to get full speed on Unifi 2Gbps package? Not needed? you just use their provided Skyworth 2.5Gbps modem/ont, and then provide your own any router with a 2.5Gbps WAN Portor use their provided 2.5Gbps Kaon router zioburosky13 liked this post

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Feb 8 2024, 01:35 PM) Draining of money must be through credit card link to the app, unless they somehow gain access to the billing system and mess around. Well I have a few guesses1. Compromised billing system, gaining access to customer payment info Or 2. Customers falling for the scam SMS, and handing over their money in the process Like from the Lowyat post https://www.lowyat.net/2024/316112/r00tk1t-...s-phishing-sms/ > Why I got an SMS to redeem Maxis Reward points but when I click to redeem and such, Maybank shows I'm making a payment of 2k to Tik Tok shop? Or 3. The classic subscribe the user to various useless WAP services from long ago that you need to send STOP to end |

Family plan 299 + speed upgrade to 100mbps and they give me this kind of shitty service? is IPv6 even that expensive? i don't understand. ??? that's a very dumb thing to do for themipv4 is the one that's expensive, since ipv4 is already exhausted ipv6, you could give every single grain of sand one and there will still be plenty so weird though, why would they get rid of ipv6??? |

QUOTE(captainwifi @ Jun 13 2024, 02:21 PM) what is the latest package for maxic 300 mbps? Firstly, you should check if your area is Maxis own Infra / NGBB area or notwhat is the price? Any free months? And what router yar? I would appreciate your answer. unifi is now offer $129 and 3 months free. with a new unknown wifi 6 router. How to know? Check for any Maxis branded Fiber DPs near you, or ask a agent. If yes, then there's a special price, it seems like either RM99 or RM129 for 300 and possibly free 6 months? Info out there is a bit messy, some old some new, some only for Unifi -> Maxis, price may be valid for 24m only, check with agents You can refer to https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=109875442 If your area is just using TM Infra, not so many promos, it seems like it's the same promo as what TM offers you unless you bundle in postpaid, in which then they'll discount for you https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=109876864 Router is either a Huawei all in one or a TP-Link EX510 or a Kaon AR2140 from what I've seen |

QUOTE(DjKenji @ Jun 24 2024, 04:03 PM) recent upgrade the plan from 800mbps to 2gbps upgrading plan should have resulted in you receiving a Skyworth GN630E modem and a Kaon something 2.5gbit routerAfter market router and switch, modem remain the same Huawei(HG8240H) since 2019 my question is, internet backbone support 2gbps but LAN ports are bottlenecked at 1gbps, speedtest will test internet backbone. Local speed cap at 1gbps. How to solve this instead of upgrade all the device, modem, router, switch ![]() check with Maxis on that? |

QUOTE(NagaK @ Jul 14 2024, 11:38 PM) Does Maxis Kaon AR2140 wifi signal is bad?? I'm installed Wifi camera on my place when it's nearby no issue. When it's outdoor camera it's been sluggish keep getting prompt that wifi connection is weak in all camera... VoIP, you can reuse old kaon as just a phone adapter if you disable the internet interface and bridge the voip vlan out from the asusI'm planning to get Asus router, my doubt is I got 4G dongle to use incase fibre down so can I use dongle on Asus router incase fibre down as back up? Also about VoIP for Maxis or, see thread linked above as for 4g, you must set the hostname of your asus router (in LAN section) to Maxis_Archer_C5v to trick the dongle into thinking it's connected to the maxis router (the kaon and the other routers maxis gives all identify themselves as that to the dongle) NagaK liked this post
