I am considering jumping back to Maxis after being on TIME for a while
So, my area is under Maxis NGBB
Anyone here on that infra and is on the 300Mbps plan? What is the upload speed? Is it still 50Mbps?
Also, what's the real world speed test speed? Because from what I've seen NGBB is usually overprovisioned and you get more than written.

QUOTE(K555 @ Sep 10 2025, 03:24 PM) thank you for your explanation. but anyway that we know our area is using which infra? and i heard if Maxis home fibre, the restore service will be slow? noted. thanks. 1. Well, you can look around for Maxis branded distribution boxes around your place Or, 2, contact an agent, and see if you can get the NGBB special plan of 300Mbps for RM99 WITHOUT mobile phone postpaid plan 2. It is when you're using TM Infra as Maxis has to call TM to come out also

QUOTE(K555 @ Sep 10 2025, 04:27 PM) but NGBB also tied with TM Infra right? so when Maxis Fibre gone south, so same thing their service to restore will be slow as well? No, Maxis can use TM Infra, or deploy their own Infra, which is referred to as NGBB NGBB is Maxis's own infra, TM is not related or involved in it at all

QUOTE(PJng @ Oct 27 2025, 03:53 PM) what the upload speed for maxis fibre? i cannot found that info on maxis website. my relative want switch unifi to maxis, now he using SWU 3.0 RM119 500mbps he show me agent 300mbps 99, 500mbps 139, 1gbps 159, add RM1 for ipad, 3 years I believe besides 30Mbps being symetrical, the rest follow TM Unifi's speeds However, these prices suggest you may be on maxis own infra? (if no postpaid bundle required) which has a very lax cap and you'll generally get more speed than advertised
