EPF has included the Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (ASB2) into its member's investment scheme list of approved funds
QUOTE
under the scheme, members may transfer not more than 20%, every three months, of the total savings from Account 1 in excess of their respective Basic Savings Schedule

I'm with u However, some Ppl have different risk tolerance

If our economy really go bust, ASX Dividends sure fall.

I doubt it would come to a stage when all our ASX money disappear just like that.
By then i think FD would also be similarly affected.....so no difference la.

QUOTE(utellme @ May 22 2015, 03:28 PM)
unless you are bumi where you can buy into ASB, IMO, this is not a wise investment plan just putting the 4M into PNB bond.  With 4M, you can move 50% of this money to invest  into others thing like property and buy some good blue chip shares like Maybank, PB and Genting.
*
With ASB you get additional 1-2%, risks would be the same also no..?
Properties and shares are a must have too, they are just different category.

But properties need alot more effort, expenses at every corner, return subject to tax some more

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Any good news on opening ASX account for your kids?
Still no quota?

Cheerio.
*
thanks, you got some too right?

No, still no luck for new AS1M acc.

Currently I live far far away from Bolehland.

What I observed is 5 years ago, the teh peng is only RM1.50 at kedai mamak.
Now it is RM2.00 (more ice oso) thats like 30% increase in 5 years.

Don't know what it will be like in next 5 years.

If I keep rm1.50 in ASX, assuming average 6.5% interest pa. with compounding interest I will have rm2.05. hahahaha

Bolehland is kinda scary.

hi, newbie here.
Is it a must to top up in Amanah Saham from time to time? If we invest in amanah saham, need to make sure we always got $$ to top up?

NOPE, not compulsory to top up from time to time.. It's not like bank account, needed some transaction to make sure the account don't fall into dormant account sweat.gif

So it is ok if we dont top up? Or under certain case we have to top up to ensure the account keep active?
