QUOTE(Zot @ Jan 26 2015, 10:46 AM)
This is what I said warranty statement mostly is just to attract consumer only. When it comes to compensation, they dig all kind of reasons to not paying.

I donno about warranty card but I think there isn't any. Read this statement:

Date of purchase is documented by new vehicle registration (where the tyres were fitted on a new vehicle) or original tyre sales invoice.  If there is no proof of purchase, the warranty will be based on the date of manufacture.

Talk more on the new car purchased with tires.  laugh.gif  I think there is no warranty card given for any tire brand  shocking.gif

Anyway I think the shop might not be 100% correct when saying hardening is not covered by warranty. This is a gray area. All tires can get hardened due to UV exposure, but how severe? You can probably see micro cracked on tire surface but still safe to use. Only Michelin can say how severe the crack is to justify. The shop can say whatever he likes. Most likely the person say like that to prove (by mere statement) that the shop is not cheating its customers. You can always go to authorized shop for confirmation. I don't think there is any charge in asking  wink.gif

Thanks! shall try my luck with Michelin authorised shop soon.

Michelin always like that. crack or outshape if you don't drive alot.
it is good if you drive with higher mileage. or 3 years kaput.

can define higher mileage???

daily minimum 60KM on weekdays, home-office bound.
weekend, depend, sometimes 100km, sometimes 30KM.

are we talking about even higher mileages?

PS3 ftw lah...

40000 KM still going strong. Rotate every 8000km. Excellent grip.

If not enough budget go for Yokohama or Dunlop.

bro eagle nct 5 ok ke tak bro?

last time it was the oem tyre on persona before continental took over the contract.

my eagle nct 5 lasted 80k km with rotation every 10k km (during car service).

price went up 2 years back when I had to replace it and the guys at service centre say continental is just as good and eagle nct5 was more expensive...

Mine cracked also after 2 years usage at 40,000km mileage.
Rotate every 10,000km.
But this tire wears very fast if under pressure (<below 30PSI)

Just in case you wanna change tyre, get this.

After using this, I never go back to Michelin, Bridgestone, Hankook, Toyo, Yokohama again.
It's already my 3rd set of Neuton NT5000 tyres.

U mean PS3 bodoh.

Same price XM2 & PS3 i dunno why people wanna buy XM2 for the sake of "Save Fuel". Comfort & Noise wise it's not much different from PS3, might as well buy C-Drive save more money. i go to Michelin Shop keeps asking me why not buy XM2, their XM2 banner put so big somemore.

normal la for Michelin xm2.. i got few friend using the tire, after 1-2 years, the tire become harden. so never choose xm2 unless u got budget for sp3 (sport pilot 3). else for eco type tire, u can choose yokohama c drive 2..

All tyres cracks, depends on how long, there was a bad batch for PS3 which result in very bad chipping on threads & cracks, Michelin do give warranty depending on thread depth.

When the tyre shop first recommended this brand 4 years ago, i almost ptui at his face.

I did my research on Internet, this tyre was rated higher than Michelin PS3 (note: that was 4 years ago).
Ultra high performance tyre at much much cheaper rate.
Then I grabbed my balls and decided to give it a try.
Wow... I stick to this since then.

It is not better than PS3. But close performance.
But with that price, I have no complaint.
The tyre generates low noise too, unlike other ultra performance tyres tend to be noisy.

P/S I was told It is OEM manufacturer for YOKOHAMA.
This OEM develop their own brand and name it Neuton.
