XM2 is made in Thailand and according to Michelin, it is designed for our tropical climate.

I can confirm that you are not the only one with the XM2 "micro-crack" issue. I'm having the same problem too. Googling thru the internet also will reveal that other ppl having the same problem.

Updates: today (16 Feb 2015)

i made a FB complains to Michelin, and today was the appointment for checking.
2 personnel from Michelin, checking, and asking A-Z about my tyres...

final conclusion: They offering XX% of my XM2 value based on the remaining thread on tyres.

decided not to take the offer, as i was assured its still safe to drive, expected another 1 year to drive on my current tyre.

Hi, want to ask, my XM2 now 10k mileage. SC suggest change front with rear tyres. Is it necessary? I saw you all mentioned about rotation, but I suppose its not the one I mentioned right? Thanks..

our cars are front wheel drive... the front tyre will wear out at faster rate compared to rear.

Rotation be it front to rear or front right to rear left aka X rotate, will average out the tear n wear for 4 tyres, so can enjoy longer lifespan.

rotation necessary or not, depend on individual. if you're planning to change 2 tyres at 1 time, no need bother to rotate.

I have the exact same problem as you. XM2 also. Problem is tyre was bought in KL. Now transferred to Sandakan, from what I know there is no dealership in Sandakan, no choice, nobody to consult.
All 4 wheels are XM2

eco XM2 tyres are memang hard la.. PS3 are soft tyres which is why they grip better both on dry and wet. Down side is they wear out faster.

BRO, dont bother to consult...
check ur tyre wall, as long as no crack, intact, its good.
even you have them to consult, check and the most they will offer the some discount based on the wear n tear....

would u ever buy back the same tyre again?
