before gst was 88,269.50 with insurance, so i think price dropped slightly

Basically the selling price of the car itself was more or less the same before and after GST..

What makes the difference is the GSTed insurance.. which is why there is a difference of nearly rm200 price there

I don't understand how Mazda calculated the price, when other brands announced their price dropped by several %... or was it me misunderstood on things?

Post GST price is 85,466.30 (OTR Without Insurance)

So it's RM3.7 cheaper? What the point this change

Mazda just play around with the figure and did not lower down the price, probably exchange loss of weaker ringgit into consideration

If i am not mistaken.
The GST is calculated on the accumulative price of all components if it's CKD.
On CBU, GST is incurred on the selling price.
I could be wrong though...

Maybe that's the reason why CKD cars drop in price slightly while CBU cars either stay the same or increase abit.

Pre GST price.
Mazda try to press down the price by reduce handling/inspection fees & number plate charges.
Actually the price without insurance for post GST is slightly cheaper than Pre GST.
Total price up after included insurance with GST.

Few week ago my SA told me price up 2K. Now only hundred ++, consider lucky.

Now, discount 1500 + price drop 800 = 2300

PRE GST
Retail Price without insurance RM85,470.00

POST GST
OTR without insurance RM85,466.30

Can I conclude that the price is remain the same as OTR without insurance. And the insurance there is slightly increase ald. So for those who have make the booking b4 1/4/15 but yet to get the car, is it have to pay the insurance as per the new insurance amount?
