I took the Jumbo pack instead for 230 with free local call and 30 MB.
The other that comes with 210 doesn't look interesting to me.

Just upgrade my VIP5 to unifi 30 + 1TV package through tm point.
According to the sales person must bundle with 1 TV package , can't just take the internet plan itself. |

QUOTE(christina1 @ Jul 14 2015, 09:24 AM) here's a charthttp://www.uswitch.com/broadband/guides/br...download_times/ a 10gb bluray @ 50mbps = 26m 40s download time. @10mbps it would be roughly around 2h 47m ish. if i were to play 1 game of storm of heroes, after my game is done, i'd have finish downloading the movie to go watch so thats the difference if you do get 50mbps, make sure to test with an actual torrent, as well as speedtest to international servers e.g. US and europe to see your download speed. Local malaysia download doesn't mean much when most of the content is usually on US or european locations. This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Jul 14 2015, 09:34 AM |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Jul 14 2015, 09:39 AM) I think 10mbps of upload is still not too bad, much better than 30mbps download with 5mbps but still will be adequate depending on usage. If I frequently stream YouTube and other video sites, will the reduction of upload speed to 5Mbps affect the streaming experience? |

Can I request to upgrade my Unifi equipment to the recent one for free? Been using Unifi since 2011, stuck with the old router, BTU and STB. As far as I am concerned the newer STB provided by TM is powered by android and far more responsive than the older one.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 14 2015, 09:58 AM) Alright. It is really strange that I'm not streaming well for 1080p contents on YouTube, sometimes it will still buffer. I believe it is normal because YouTube (Google) uses CDN to deliver their contents. Is it normal for 10Mbps? "A content delivery network (CDN) is a system of distributed servers (network) that deliver webpages and other Web content to a user based on the geographic locations of the user, the origin of the webpage and a content delivery server." So sometimes you might not be connected to a server that is nearest to you and thus the speed will be affected resulting in frequent buffering of the video. |
