Do UV light and biological filter goes hand in hand? Some say only use 1, as UV light kill of the bacteria....Any idea?
*
Well, I'm using a canister filter with built in UV light though. The UV light is covered hence it will not affect the biological filter. I read that UV light only works to eradicate green water algae, which I have not observed in my tank but my tank does have other kinds of algae growing...

Does you tank has the green dust algae? The one stick on tank glass.
*
Unfortunately yes... I have all sorts of algae in my tank, green spot, BBA, green dust, green hair...

Green hair easy to remove. For green spot and green dust, I use those green sponge to clean the glass. Hardest are BBA...

No CO2 for now... but just bought the DIY CO2 set, will be setting up next week maybe... Hope once the CO2 comes in, the algae will go away. sweat.gif

i see.. so every time i cut it will split in 2?
so by the third time i cut 1 stem will have 8 branch?  rclxub.gif

1 stem can sustain so much ah? hahaha
*
I think the correct way is the cut the top, unroot the bottom stem and plant the top stem... will be troublesome
