No, only bootlegs uses battery to mantain the saves, ori carts uses memory similiar to the ones used in USB Flash drives. However in Ruby/ Sapphire/Emerald, batteries are used to power the internal real-time clock, ,which in case of failure have little effect to the main gameplay itself. (The berries will stop growing when you turn the GBA/ DS off)

i have question, if i leave my pokemon at daycare, how's the future skill it will learn?

lets say i put my jolteon lvl 10.. supposely at lvl 15 it will learn thundershock.. so if i leave my lvl 10 jolteon at daycare and take back at lvl 20, how's the thundershock?

It will learn Thundershock as it suppose to do. But if you have all the 4 move slots filled, one if the moves will be deleted for the new move (but I forgot starting from top or bottom).
