Asus Strix GTX960 at RM819 is a steal.

yup just ordered mine guess will arrive late CNY belum habis cry.gif , i play mainly on 1080p so i guess 960 is enuf for me for now, just have to wait for upcoming fully baked maxwell's thumbup.gif .

No offence to amd owners 290x is certainly a good buy if compared to gtx970 in terms of memory size and brute force notworthy.gif , i have used that card keeps getting too hot until rma, bought a 970 nggredia con me 500mb of vram (terus kansel plan to buy higher res monitor), since now stuck at 1080p might just buy a 960.

Why not just use the GTX 970?
Can tone down the texture settings to avoid using over 3.5GB to the affected games.
At least can hold until the next gen high end comes out.

Of course it is a big CPU hog on DirectX 11, it is used to demonstrate the usefulness of Mantle (and maybe DirectX 12).

If you're using a reference version of 290X,indeed. laugh.gif

Don't take it seriously ye AMD fans. sweat.gif

You bought a GTX970 and then you sold it because of the vRAM problem? hmm.gif

The Czone quote me RM899 for leadtek 960 stock cooler. @.@

The rest are RM999. Actually the tiger edition is really overpriced? I'm looking at zotac GTX 960 amp edition but not everywhere has it.
*
Leadtek stock cooler you have to buy online to get RM749 price. MSI Tiger Edition before CNY Czone stated RM799 promo price in their fb. I don't know if offer still have or not after CNY.
Best bang for buck GTX960 would be Zotac amp edition MSG game at promo price RM799.
Custom cooler twin 90mm fan, exoarmor backplate with MSG painting, Free MSG Ground Zeroes game and 3+2 years warranty. drool.gif
Lucky I manage to grab it before sold out/end promo price rclxm9.gif
Heard CyntrixTech will restock Zotac GTX960 AMP early March. But not confirm if still sell at promo price RM799 @ normal price RM949

biggrin.gif haha i dunno about you... but when i first got Reference R9 290X it Hitting Firestrike score nearly 10K... at 2013 to hit that score at the time was(not easy) .. woo yes Noise was sound like Hair blower.. but it got 2 mode on gpu... Silent/Turbo (aka noisy but won't hit 90C during load or hit 90C+ but noise is less..)

add-on: Sapphire R9 290X TriX RM1.3K (less noise load temp 75c+) and 4GB is 4GB biggrin.gif

hmm.gif only thing you should worried is when DX12 is out i heard DX12 tend to Fully utilize the GPU power.. and if fully access vram.. it will be.. interesting to see how DX12 acted with GTX 970 vram situation... but at moment gtx 970 is good Gpu to play on 1080p /1440P heck any game that dun fully over use vram past 3.5GB it should be okay.. and i only see game Shadow of mordor use over 3.5Gb vram but only few user suffer any stutter..
